How long will you people turn my glory into shame? How long will you love delusions and seek false gods? Know that the LORD has set apart his faithful servant for himself; the LORD hears when I call to him. Tremble and do not sin; when you are on your beds, search your hearts and be silent. Offer the sacrifices of the righteous and trust in the LORD.

O men, how long shall my honor be turned into shame? How long will you love vain words and seek after lies? Selah But know that the LORD has set apart the godly for himself; the LORD hears when I call to him. Be angry, and do not sin; ponder in your own hearts on your beds, and be silent. Selah Offer right sacrifices, and put your trust in the LORD.

How long will you people ruin my reputation? How long will you make groundless accusations? How long will you continue your lies? Interlude You can be sure of this: The LORD set apart the godly for himself. The LORD will answer when I call to him. Don’t sin by letting anger control you. Think about it overnight and remain silent. Interlude Offer sacrifices in the right spirit, and trust the LORD.

How long, exalted ones,  will my honor be insulted?  How long will you love what is worthless  and pursue a lie? Selah Know that the LORD has set apart the faithful for himself; the LORD will hear when I call to him. Be angry  and do not sin;  reflect in your heart while on your bed and be silent.  Selah Offer sacrifices in righteousness  , and trust in the  LORD.

O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? How long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah. But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: The LORD will hear when I call unto him. Stand in awe, and sin not: Commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah. Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, And put your trust in the LORD.

How long, O you sons of men, Will you turn my glory to shame? How long will you love worthlessness And seek falsehood? Selah But know that the LORD has set apart for Himself him who is godly; The LORD will hear when I call to Him. Be angry, and do not sin. Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still. Selah Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, And put your trust in the LORD.

You rabble—how long do I put up with your scorn? How long will you lust after lies? How long will you live crazed by illusion? Look at this: look Who got picked by GOD! He listens the split second I call to him. Complain if you must, but don’t lash out. Keep your mouth shut, and let your heart do the talking. Build your case before God and wait for his verdict.

¶You sons of man, how long will my honor be treated as an insult? How long will you love what is worthless and strive for a lie? Selah But know that the LORD has set apart the godly person for Himself; The LORD hears when I call to Him. ¶Tremble, and do not sin; Meditate in your heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, And trust in the LORD.

¶O sons of men, how long will my honor and glory be [turned into] shame? How long will you [my enemies] love worthless (vain, futile) things and seek deception and lies? Selah. But know that the LORD has set apart for Himself [and dealt wonderfully with] the godly man [the one of honorable character and moral courage—the one who does right]. The LORD hears and responds when I call to Him. ¶Tremble [with anger or fear], and do not sin; Meditate in your heart upon your bed and be still [reflect on your sin and repent of your rebellion]. [Eph 4:26] Selah. Offer righteous sacrifices; Trust [confidently] in the LORD.

You men, how long will you try to turn my honor into shame? How long will you love what is worthless and search for what is deceptive? (Selah) Realize that the LORD shows the godly special favor; the LORD responds when I cry out to him. Tremble with fear and do not sin! Meditate as you lie in bed, and repent of your ways! (Selah) Offer the prescribed sacrifices and trust in the LORD!
