Psalms 102:18-22
Psalms 102:18-22 The Message (MSG)
Write this down for the next generation so people not yet born will praise GOD: “GOD looked out from his high holy place; from heaven he surveyed the earth. He listened to the groans of the doomed, he opened the doors of their death cells.” Write it so the story can be told in Zion, so GOD’s praise will be sung in Jerusalem’s streets And wherever people gather together along with their rulers to worship him.
Psalms 102:18-22 King James Version (KJV)
This shall be written for the generation to come: And the people which shall be created shall praise the LORD. For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; From heaven did the LORD behold the earth; To hear the groaning of the prisoner; To loose those that are appointed to death; To declare the name of the LORD in Zion, And his praise in Jerusalem; When the people are gathered together, And the kingdoms, to serve the LORD.
Psalms 102:18-22 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
This will be written for the generation to come, That a people yet to be created may praise the LORD. For He looked down from His holy height; From heaven the LORD gazed upon the earth, To hear the groaning of the prisoner, To set free those who were doomed to death, That men may tell of the name of the LORD in Zion And His praise in Jerusalem, When the peoples are gathered together, And the kingdoms, to serve the LORD.
Psalms 102:18-22 New Century Version (NCV)
Write these things for the future so that people who are not yet born will praise the LORD. The LORD looked down from his holy place above; from heaven he looked down at the earth. He heard the moans of the prisoners, and he freed those sentenced to die. The name of the LORD will be heard in Jerusalem; his praise will be heard there. People will come together, and kingdoms will serve the LORD.
Psalms 102:18-22 American Standard Version (ASV)
This shall be written for the generation to come; And a people which shall be created shall praise Jehovah. For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; From heaven did Jehovah behold the earth; To hear the sighing of the prisoner; To loose those that are appointed to death; That men may declare the name of Jehovah in Zion, And his praise in Jerusalem; When the peoples are gathered together, And the kingdoms, to serve Jehovah.
Psalms 102:18-22 New International Version (NIV)
Let this be written for a future generation, that a people not yet created may praise the LORD: “The LORD looked down from his sanctuary on high, from heaven he viewed the earth, to hear the groans of the prisoners and release those condemned to death.” So the name of the LORD will be declared in Zion and his praise in Jerusalem when the peoples and the kingdoms assemble to worship the LORD.
Psalms 102:18-22 New King James Version (NKJV)
This will be written for the generation to come, That a people yet to be created may praise the LORD. For He looked down from the height of His sanctuary; From heaven the LORD viewed the earth, To hear the groaning of the prisoner, To release those appointed to death, To declare the name of the LORD in Zion, And His praise in Jerusalem, When the peoples are gathered together, And the kingdoms, to serve the LORD.
Psalms 102:18-22 Amplified Bible (AMP)
¶Let this be recorded for the generation to come, That a people yet to be created will praise the LORD. For He looked down from His holy height [of His sanctuary], From heaven the LORD gazed on the earth, To hear the sighing of the prisoner, To set free those who were doomed to death, So that people may declare the name of the LORD in Zion And His praise in Jerusalem, When the peoples are gathered together, And the kingdoms, to serve the LORD.
Psalms 102:18-22 New Living Translation (NLT)
Let this be recorded for future generations, so that a people not yet born will praise the LORD. Tell them the LORD looked down from his heavenly sanctuary. He looked down to earth from heaven to hear the groans of the prisoners, to release those condemned to die. And so the LORD’s fame will be celebrated in Zion, his praises in Jerusalem, when multitudes gather together and kingdoms come to worship the LORD.
Psalms 102:18-22 The Passion Translation (TPT)
Write all this down for the coming generation, so re-created people will read it and praise the Lord! Tell them how Yah looked down from his high and holy place, gazing from his glory to survey the earth. He listened to all the groaning of his people longing to be free, and he set loose the sons of death to experience life. Multitudes will stream to Jerusalem to praise the Lord and declare his name in Zion! Peoples from every land, their kings and kingdoms, will gather together to worship the Lord.
Psalms 102:18-22 English Standard Version 2016 (ESV)
Let this be recorded for a generation to come, so that a people yet to be created may praise the LORD: that he looked down from his holy height; from heaven the LORD looked at the earth, to hear the groans of the prisoners, to set free those who were doomed to die, that they may declare in Zion the name of the LORD, and in Jerusalem his praise, when peoples gather together, and kingdoms, to worship the LORD.
