Mark 3:16-18

The Holy Spirit uses God’s Word to grow believers in their faith and increase their passion for Jesus. Break down the book of Mark into the “Big Picture” of the passage, then “Digging Deeper” into that section and then move into “Living Out” the lessons that are taught in the passage in this 5-day reading plan.

Many are called, few are commissioned. Jesus gives his followers a taste of going out to preach, teach, and heal. Going in faith, they experience amazing powers that Christ endowed them. Christ also appraises them of the discipline and sacrifice involved, with far greater rewards for service. While service is highly monetized these days, there are still the few serving in tune with their Master in Heaven. Perhaps little-known today but famous in Heaven.

Jesus promised that we would grow into the fullness of life by His Spirit. To do that we need to keep encountering the basic truths of faith more deeply and profoundly. If we do, there is a vibrant and supernatural life that exceeds our hopes and dreams, as we experience partnership with God, extending His Kingdom here on earth.

We've heard it all before... Men are lonely, aren't engaged, don't have friends, and don't have any men in their lives that they can truly count on. There are many reasons and theories given for this, but the real one is that men don't have a foxhole. In this devotional, we will teach men to surround themselves with men that cultivate spiritual, mental, and physical resilience daily. Buckle up, fellas...
