Ten Qualities of a Kingdom Business Owner

DAY 10 OF 11

Quality #9

Have vision beyond the bottom line.

God did not give you all these people to build a big business, He gave you a business to build big people! It’s all about HIM and THEM. It’s not about you only, and profits only. It really is about the people that He places in our lives and how we relate in Christ with one another. Your legacy will always include relationships with those closest to you, like your family, your employees, your suppliers, and your community.

Jesus died for people, not for religion. He loves them so much that He was willing to sacrifice His own life for them. What are you willing to sacrifice for your people? Are you willing to sacrifice anything? Most of the companies we’ve placed corporate chaplains in have established a benevolence fund to assist employees during a crisis season in their lives. Every employee is given an opportunity to contribute five dollars or ten dollars per pay period, with the company matching or double matching depending upon profitability. There’s a finely tuned process of how the funds may be distributed, with several non-management employees serving on a committee overseeing the funds. Human resources oversees this process and has impacted thousands of lives over the years. They don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care! Your legacy depends on how well you care!

How much do you care about your employees?

What written plan do you have in place for an employee in crisis?

About this Plan

Ten Qualities of a Kingdom Business Owner

"I’ve had the privilege of walking through numerous businesses over the past thirty-five years as a corporate chaplain. The experience of interacting with business owners and observing how these owners operate their businesses and involve their employees, is the foundation I’m coming from for this Bible plan." -Ernest F. Parrish
