Planning Like Nehemiah|Step 3
Seek God’s Vision
Nehemiah began seeking God’s vision for rebuilding the wall. He did so through prayer and petition. It is important to note that he pursued a vision for all of Jerusalem as well as the special part God was asking him to play.
In Nehemiah 2:18 we read, “I told them how the hand of my God had been favorable to me and also about the king’s words which he had spoken to me.”
Many in business have a vision, but their vision is often self-motivated and focused on money or fame. When we seek God’s favor towards our work, we need to first seek God’s vision. Be prepared that it may be different from our own.

About this Plan
Most would agree that planning is an important process to be used in our workplaces, but one that is often condensed or sometimes ignored. This 7-part series will examine how Nehemiah harnessed the discipline of planning to successfully rebuild Jerusalem’s walls. His practical and wise seven-step process is one that we can use today.
