Ecclesiastes 12:1-2
Ecclesiastes 12:1-2 The Message (MSG)
Honor and enjoy your Creator while you’re still young, Before the years take their toll and your vigor wanes, Before your vision dims and the world blurs And the winter years keep you close to the fire.
Ecclesiastes 12:1-2 King James Version (KJV)
Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them; while the sun, or the light, or the moon, or the stars, be not darkened, nor the clouds return after the rain
Ecclesiastes 12:1-2 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come and the years draw near when you will say, “I have no delight in them”; before the sun and the light, the moon and the stars are darkened, and clouds return after the rain
Ecclesiastes 12:1-2 New Century Version (NCV)
Remember your Creator while you are young, before the days of trouble come and the years when you say, “I find no pleasure in them.” When you get old, the light from the sun, moon, and stars will grow dark; the rain clouds will never seem to go away.

Ecclesiastes 12:1-2 Amplified Bible (AMP)
Remember [thoughtfully] also your Creator in the days of your youth [for you are not your own, but His], before the evil days come or the years draw near when you will say [of physical pleasures], “I have no enjoyment and delight in them”; [2 Sam 19:35] before the sun and the light, and the moon and the stars are darkened [by impaired vision], and the clouds [of depression] return after the rain [of tears]
Ecclesiastes 12:1-2 New Living Translation (NLT)
Don’t let the excitement of youth cause you to forget your Creator. Honor him in your youth before you grow old and say, “Life is not pleasant anymore.” Remember him before the light of the sun, moon, and stars is dim to your old eyes, and rain clouds continually darken your sky.
