Many of us can relate to being in the wilderness. Some have lived short seasons, while others have spent a large portion of their lives in the wilderness. Being in the wilderness does not mean you are lost. Sometimes we are not ready for the promises God has planned for us. We must come in close relationship with Him so that we may learn His will for our lives.

Do not be discouraged! God has a secret plan. And you won’t pick it up from the Old Testament alone without knowing Jesus and knowing what to look for. Many of the Jews in Jesus’s day sure didn’t. But God is making a mystery known. In Christ, you can know that plan. You can be a part of that plan! And Paul hopes you will. It’s what this first part of Ephesians 3 is all about.
