Breton Gospel of Matthew

The Breton Gospel of Matthew was published in the Gwenedeg dialect also called the Vannes or Vanneteuse or Vannetais dialect of Breton, spoken in Morbihan in southern Lower Brittany (Basse Bretagne). It was published in London as Aviel revé St. Maheu troeit é Brehonec Guénet dré Christoll Terrien for Prince Louis-Lucien Bonaparte. (Impensis Ludovici Luciani Bonaparte.)

The French title was L’ Évangile selon St. Matthieu, Traduit en Breton de Vannes.

Christoll Terrien also translated Breton liturgical selections for Liherieu hag Avieleu: or the Catholic Epistles and Gospels for the day up to Ascension, published in 1858; and the Song of Solomon into 2 dialects of Breton for the Celtic Hexapla, published in 1858.
