Taste & See Together
All of the food that God created was and is to be tasted and celebrated together. Even Chef Jesus cooked breakfast for His disciples in the book of John; I’m sure that breakfast tasted great!
We also witness two of Jesus’ miracles centered around taste and community when He began his ministry. One is actually Jesus’ first miracle. When a marriage reception was out of wine, he had servants fill to the brim with water several jars and then presented it to the master of the banquet. In this case, the best was saved for last!
The other was perhaps one of the ultimate “Taste & See” miracles when he fed the 5000 (probably more). What I love about these miracles is that there was always more than enough - more than one person would be affected or benefit from the miracle. In all of this, I believe that God wants us to taste His creation together. Today, it might be considered a miracle to have all of your family together at the same time for a meal, but I encourage you today, set a time and enjoy God’s goodness together as a family.
