Psalms 6:6-10
Psalms 6:6-10 The Message (MSG)
I’m tired of all this—so tired. My bed has been floating forty days and nights On the flood of my tears. My mattress is soaked, soggy with tears. The sockets of my eyes are black holes; nearly blind, I squint and grope. Get out of here, you Devil’s crew: at last GOD has heard my sobs. My requests have all been granted, my prayers are answered. Cowards, my enemies disappear. Disgraced, they turn tail and run.
Psalms 6:6-10 English Standard Version 2016 (ESV)
I am weary with my moaning; every night I flood my bed with tears; I drench my couch with my weeping. My eye wastes away because of grief; it grows weak because of all my foes. Depart from me, all you workers of evil, for the LORD has heard the sound of my weeping. The LORD has heard my plea; the LORD accepts my prayer. All my enemies shall be ashamed and greatly troubled; they shall turn back and be put to shame in a moment.
Psalms 6:6-10 King James Version (KJV)
I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears. Mine eye is consumed because of grief; It waxeth old because of all mine enemies. Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; For the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping. The LORD hath heard my supplication; The LORD will receive my prayer. Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: Let them return and be ashamed suddenly.
Psalms 6:6-10 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
I am weary with my sighing; Every night I make my bed swim, I dissolve my couch with my tears. My eye has wasted away with grief; It has become old because of all my adversaries. Depart from me, all you who do iniquity, For the LORD has heard the voice of my weeping. The LORD has heard my supplication, The LORD receives my prayer. All my enemies will be ashamed and greatly dismayed; They shall turn back, they will suddenly be ashamed.
Psalms 6:6-10 New Century Version (NCV)
I am tired of crying to you. Every night my bed is wet with tears; my bed is soaked from my crying. My eyes are weak from so much crying; they are weak from crying about my enemies. Get away from me, all you who do evil, because the LORD has heard my crying. The LORD has heard my cry for help; the LORD will answer my prayer. All my enemies will be ashamed and troubled. They will turn and suddenly leave in shame.

All mine enemies shall be put to shame and sore troubled: They shall turn back, they shall be put to shame suddenly.
Psalms 6:6-10 New International Version (NIV)
I am worn out from my groaning. All night long I flood my bed with weeping and drench my couch with tears. My eyes grow weak with sorrow; they fail because of all my foes. Away from me, all you who do evil, for the LORD has heard my weeping. The LORD has heard my cry for mercy; the LORD accepts my prayer. All my enemies will be overwhelmed with shame and anguish; they will turn back and suddenly be put to shame.

Psalms 6:6-10 Amplified Bible (AMP)
¶I am weary with my groaning; Every night I soak my bed with tears, I drench my couch with my weeping. My eye grows dim with grief; It grows old because of all my enemies. ¶Depart from me, all you who do evil, For the LORD has heard the voice of my weeping. [Matt 7:23; Luke 13:27] The LORD has heard my supplication [my plea for grace]; The LORD receives my prayer. Let all my enemies be ashamed and greatly horrified; Let them turn back, let them suddenly be ashamed [of what they have done].
Psalms 6:6-10 New Living Translation (NLT)
I am worn out from sobbing. All night I flood my bed with weeping, drenching it with my tears. My vision is blurred by grief; my eyes are worn out because of all my enemies. Go away, all you who do evil, for the LORD has heard my weeping. The LORD has heard my plea; the LORD will answer my prayer. May all my enemies be disgraced and terrified. May they suddenly turn back in shame.
Psalms 6:6-10 The Passion Translation (TPT)
I’m worn out with my weeping and groaning. Night after night I soak my pillow with tears, and flood my bed with weeping. My eyes of faith won’t focus anymore, for sorrow fills my heart. There are so many enemies who come against me! Turn from me, all you troublemakers! For YAHWEH has turned to hear the sound of my weeping. Yes! YAHWEH my healer has heard all my pleading and has taken hold of my prayers and answered them all. Now it’s my enemies who have been shamed. Terror-stricken, they will turn back again, knowing the bitterness of sudden disgrace!
