2 Samuel 22:26-51 - Bera saman allar útgáfur

2 Samuel 22:26-51 NIV (New International Version)

“To the faithful you show yourself faithful, to the blameless you show yourself blameless, to the pure you show yourself pure, but to the devious you show yourself shrewd. You save the humble, but your eyes are on the haughty to bring them low. You, LORD, are my lamp; the LORD turns my darkness into light. With your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall. “As for God, his way is perfect: The LORD’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him. For who is God besides the LORD? And who is the Rock except our God? It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure. He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he causes me to stand on the heights. He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You make your saving help my shield; your help has made me great. You provide a broad path for my feet, so that my ankles do not give way. “I pursued my enemies and crushed them; I did not turn back till they were destroyed. I crushed them completely, and they could not rise; they fell beneath my feet. You armed me with strength for battle; you humbled my adversaries before me. You made my enemies turn their backs in flight, and I destroyed my foes. They cried for help, but there was no one to save them— to the LORD, but he did not answer. I beat them as fine as the dust of the earth; I pounded and trampled them like mud in the streets. “You have delivered me from the attacks of the peoples; you have preserved me as the head of nations. People I did not know now serve me, foreigners cower before me; as soon as they hear of me, they obey me. They all lose heart; they come trembling from their strongholds. “The LORD lives! Praise be to my Rock! Exalted be my God, the Rock, my Savior! He is the God who avenges me, who puts the nations under me, who sets me free from my enemies. You exalted me above my foes; from a violent man you rescued me. Therefore I will praise you, LORD, among the nations; I will sing the praises of your name. “He gives his king great victories; he shows unfailing kindness to his anointed, to David and his descendants forever.”

2 Samuel 22:26-51 ESV (English Standard Version 2025)

“With the merciful you show yourself merciful; with the blameless man you show yourself blameless; with the purified you deal purely, and with the crooked you make yourself seem tortuous. You save a humble people, but your eyes are on the haughty to bring them down. For you are my lamp, O LORD, and my God lightens my darkness. For by you I can run against a troop, and by my God I can leap over a wall. This God—his way is perfect; the word of the LORD proves true; he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him. “For who is God, but the LORD? And who is a rock, except our God? This God is my strong refuge and has made my way blameless. He made my feet like the feet of a deer and set me secure on the heights. He trains my hands for war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You have given me the shield of your salvation, and your gentleness made me great. You gave a wide place for my steps under me, and my feet did not slip; I pursued my enemies and destroyed them, and did not turn back until they were consumed. I consumed them; I thrust them through, so that they did not rise; they fell under my feet. For you equipped me with strength for the battle; you made those who rise against me sink under me. You made my enemies turn their backs to me, those who hated me, and I destroyed them. They looked, but there was none to save; they cried to the LORD, but he did not answer them. I beat them fine as the dust of the earth; I crushed them and stamped them down like the mire of the streets. “You delivered me from strife with my people; you kept me as the head of the nations; people whom I had not known served me. Foreigners came cringing to me; as soon as they heard of me, they obeyed me. Foreigners lost heart and came trembling out of their fortresses. “The LORD lives, and blessed be my rock, and exalted be my God, the rock of my salvation, the God who gave me vengeance and brought down peoples under me, who brought me out from my enemies; you exalted me above those who rose against me; you delivered me from men of violence. “For this I will praise you, O LORD, among the nations, and sing praises to your name. Great salvation he brings to his king, and shows steadfast love to his anointed, to David and his offspring forever.”

2 Samuel 22:26-51 NLT (New Living Translation)

“To the faithful you show yourself faithful; to those with integrity you show integrity. To the pure you show yourself pure, but to the crooked you show yourself shrewd. You rescue the humble, but your eyes watch the proud and humiliate them. O LORD, you are my lamp. The LORD lights up my darkness. In your strength I can crush an army; with my God I can scale any wall. “God’s way is perfect. All the LORD’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection. For who is God except the LORD? Who but our God is a solid rock? God is my strong fortress, and he makes my way perfect. He makes me as surefooted as a deer, enabling me to stand on mountain heights. He trains my hands for battle; he strengthens my arm to draw a bronze bow. You have given me your shield of victory; your help has made me great. You have made a wide path for my feet to keep them from slipping. “I chased my enemies and destroyed them; I did not stop until they were conquered. I consumed them; I struck them down so they did not get up; they fell beneath my feet. You have armed me with strength for the battle; you have subdued my enemies under my feet. You placed my foot on their necks. I have destroyed all who hated me. They looked for help, but no one came to their rescue. They even cried to the LORD, but he refused to answer. I ground them as fine as the dust of the earth; I trampled them in the gutter like dirt. “You gave me victory over my accusers. You preserved me as the ruler over nations; people I don’t even know now serve me. Foreign nations cringe before me; as soon as they hear of me, they submit. They all lose their courage and come trembling from their strongholds. “The LORD lives! Praise to my Rock! May God, the Rock of my salvation, be exalted! He is the God who pays back those who harm me; he brings down the nations under me and delivers me from my enemies. You hold me safe beyond the reach of my enemies; you save me from violent opponents. For this, O LORD, I will praise you among the nations; I will sing praises to your name. You give great victories to your king; you show unfailing love to your anointed, to David and all his descendants forever.”

2 Samuel 22:26-51 CSB (Christian Standard Bible)

With the faithful you prove yourself faithful, with the blameless you prove yourself blameless, with the pure you prove yourself pure, but with the crooked you prove yourself shrewd. You rescue an oppressed people,  but your eyes are set against the proud — you humble them.  LORD, you are my lamp; the LORD illuminates my darkness.  With you I can attack a barricade,  and with my God I can leap over a wall.  God — his way is perfect;  the word of the  LORD is pure.  He is a shield to all who take refuge in him. For who is God besides the  LORD? And who is a rock? Only our God. God is my strong refuge;  he makes my way perfect.  He makes my feet like the feet of a deer and sets me securely on the   heights.  He trains my hands for war;  my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You have given me the shield of your salvation;  your help  exalts me. You make a spacious place beneath me for my steps, and my ankles do not give way. I pursue my enemies and destroy them; I do not turn back until they are wiped out. I wipe them out and crush them, and they do not rise; they fall beneath my feet. You have clothed me with strength for battle; you subdue my adversaries beneath me.  You have made my enemies retreat before me;  I annihilate those who hate me. They look, but there is no one to save them — they look to the  LORD, but he does not answer them.  I pulverize them like dust of the earth; I crush them and trample them like mud in the streets.  You have freed me from the feuds among my people;  you have preserved me as head of nations; a people I had not known serve me.  Foreigners submit to me cringing; as soon as they hear, they obey me. Foreigners lose heart and come trembling from their fortifications.  The LORD lives — blessed be my rock! God, the rock of my salvation,  is exalted. God — he grants me vengeance and casts down peoples under me.  He frees me from my enemies. You exalt me above my adversaries; you rescue me from violent men.  Therefore I will give thanks to you among the nations,  LORD; I will sing praises about your name.  He is a tower of salvation for   his king; he shows loyalty to his anointed, to David and his descendants forever.

2 Samuel 22:26-51 KJV (King James Version)

With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful, And with the upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright. With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; And with the froward thou wilt shew thyself unsavoury. And the afflicted people thou wilt save: But thine eyes are upon the haughty, that thou mayest bring them down. For thou art my lamp, O LORD: And the LORD will lighten my darkness. For by thee I have run through a troop: By my God have I leaped over a wall. As for God, his way is perfect; The word of the LORD is tried: He is a buckler to all them that trust in him. For who is God, save the LORD? And who is a rock, save our God? God is my strength and power: And he maketh my way perfect. He maketh my feet like hinds' feet: And setteth me upon my high places. He teacheth my hands to war; So that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms. Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: And thy gentleness hath made me great. Thou hast enlarged my steps under me; So that my feet did not slip. I have pursued mine enemies, and destroyed them; And turned not again until I had consumed them. And I have consumed them, and wounded them, that they could not arise: Yea, they are fallen under my feet. For thou hast girded me with strength to battle: Them that rose up against me hast thou subdued under me. Thou hast also given me the necks of mine enemies, That I might destroy them that hate me. They looked, but there was none to save; Even unto the LORD, but he answered them not. Then did I beat them as small as the dust of the earth, I did stamp them as the mire of the street, and did spread them abroad. Thou also hast delivered me from the strivings of my people, Thou hast kept me to be head of the heathen: A people which I knew not shall serve me. Strangers shall submit themselves unto me: As soon as they hear, they shall be obedient unto me. Strangers shall fade away, And they shall be afraid out of their close places. The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; And exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation. It is God that avengeth me, And that bringeth down the people under me, And that bringeth me forth from mine enemies: Thou also hast lifted me up on high above them that rose up against me: Thou hast delivered me from the violent man. Therefore I will give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen, And I will sing praises unto thy name. He is the tower of salvation for his king: And sheweth mercy to his anointed, Unto David, and to his seed for evermore.

2 Samuel 22:26-51 NKJV (New King James Version)

“With the merciful You will show Yourself merciful; With a blameless man You will show Yourself blameless; With the pure You will show Yourself pure; And with the devious You will show Yourself shrewd. You will save the humble people; But Your eyes are on the haughty, that You may bring them down. “For You are my lamp, O LORD; The LORD shall enlighten my darkness. For by You I can run against a troop; By my God I can leap over a wall. As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the LORD is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him. “For who is God, except the LORD? And who is a rock, except our God? God is my strength and power, And He makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of deer, And sets me on my high places. He teaches my hands to make war, So that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. “You have also given me the shield of Your salvation; Your gentleness has made me great. You enlarged my path under me; So my feet did not slip. “I have pursued my enemies and destroyed them; Neither did I turn back again till they were destroyed. And I have destroyed them and wounded them, So that they could not rise; They have fallen under my feet. For You have armed me with strength for the battle; You have subdued under me those who rose against me. You have also given me the necks of my enemies, So that I destroyed those who hated me. They looked, but there was none to save; Even to the LORD, but He did not answer them. Then I beat them as fine as the dust of the earth; I trod them like dirt in the streets, And I spread them out. “You have also delivered me from the strivings of my people; You have kept me as the head of the nations. A people I have not known shall serve me. The foreigners submit to me; As soon as they hear, they obey me. The foreigners fade away, And come frightened from their hideouts. “The LORD lives! Blessed be my Rock! Let God be exalted, The Rock of my salvation! It is God who avenges me, And subdues the peoples under me; He delivers me from my enemies. You also lift me up above those who rise against me; You have delivered me from the violent man. Therefore I will give thanks to You, O LORD, among the Gentiles, And sing praises to Your name. “He is the tower of salvation to His king, And shows mercy to His anointed, To David and his descendants forevermore.”

2 Samuel 22:26-51 MSG (The Message)

You stick by people who stick with you, you’re straight with people who’re straight with you, You’re good to good people, you shrewdly work around the bad ones. You take the side of the down-and-out, but the stuck-up you take down a peg. Suddenly, GOD, your light floods my path, GOD drives out the darkness. I smash the bands of marauders, I vault the high fences. What a God! His road stretches straight and smooth. Every GOD-direction is road-tested. Everyone who runs toward him Makes it. Is there any god like GOD? Are we not at bedrock? Is not this the God who armed me well, then aimed me in the right direction? Now I run like a deer; I’m king of the mountain. He shows me how to fight; I can bend a bronze bow! You protect me with salvation-armor; you touch me and I feel ten feet tall. You cleared the ground under me so my footing was firm. When I chased my enemies I caught them; I didn’t let go till they were dead men. I nailed them; they were down for good; then I walked all over them. You armed me well for this fight; you smashed the upstarts. You made my enemies turn tail, and I wiped out the haters. They cried “uncle” but Uncle didn’t come; They yelled for GOD and got no for an answer. I ground them to dust; they gusted in the wind. I threw them out, like garbage in the gutter. You rescued me from a squabbling people; you made me a leader of nations. People I’d never heard of served me; the moment they got wind of me they submitted. They gave up; they came trembling from their hideouts. Live, GOD! Blessing to my Rock, my towering Salvation-God! This God set things right for me and shut up the people who talked back. He rescued me from enemy anger. You pulled me from the grip of upstarts, You saved me from the bullies. That’s why I’m thanking you, GOD, all over the world. That’s why I’m singing songs that rhyme your name. God’s king takes the trophy; God’s chosen is beloved. I mean David and all his children— always.

“With the one who is faithful You show Yourself faithful, With the blameless one You prove Yourself blameless; With the one who is pure You show Yourself pure, And with the crooked You show Yourself astute. “And You save an afflicted people; But Your eyes are on the haughty whom You humiliate. “For You are my lamp, LORD; And the LORD illuminates my darkness. “For by You I can run at a troop of warriors; By my God I can leap over a wall. “As for God, His way is blameless; The word of the LORD is refined; He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him. “For who is God, except the LORD? And who is a rock, except our God? “God is my strong fortress; And He sets the blameless on His way. “He makes my feet like deer’s feet, And sets me on my high places. “He trains my hands for battle, So that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. “You have also given me the shield of Your salvation, And Your help makes me great. “You enlarge my steps under me, And my feet have not slipped. “I pursued my enemies and eliminated them, And I did not turn back until they were finished off. “And I have devoured them and smashed them, so that they would not rise; And they fell under my feet. “For You have encircled me with strength for battle; You have forced those who rose up against me to bow down under me. “You have also made my enemies turn their backs to me, And I destroyed those who hated me. “They looked, but there was no one to save them; Even to the LORD, but He did not answer them. “Then I pulverized them as the dust of the earth; I crushed and trampled them like the mud of the streets. “You have also saved me from the contentions of my people; You have kept me as head of the nations; A people I have not known serve me. “Foreigners pretend to obey me; As soon as they hear, they obey me. “Foreigners lose heart, And come trembling out of their fortresses. “The LORD lives, and blessed be my Rock; And exalted be my God, the rock of my salvation, The God who executes vengeance for me, And brings down peoples under me, Who also brings me out from my enemies; You also raise me above those who rise up against me; You rescue me from the violent person. “Therefore I will give thanks to You, LORD, among the nations, And I will sing praises to Your name. “He is a tower of salvation to His king, And shows favor to His anointed, To David and his descendants forever.”

“With the loving and loyal You show Yourself loving and loyal, With the blameless You show Yourself blameless. “With the pure You show Yourself pure, With the perverted You show Yourself astute. “And You save the afflicted people; But Your eyes are on the haughty whom You abase (humiliate). “For You, O LORD, are my lamp; The LORD illumines and dispels my darkness. “For by You I can run upon a troop; By my God I can leap over a wall. “As for God, His way is blameless and perfect; The word of the LORD is tested. [1 Sam 2:2] “God is my strong fortress; He sets the blameless in His way. “He makes my feet like the doe’s feet [firm and swift]; He sets me [secure and confident] on my high places. “He trains my hands for war, So that my arms can bend (pull back) a bow of bronze. “You have also given me the shield of Your salvation, And Your help and gentleness make me great. “You enlarge my steps under me, And my feet have not slipped. “I pursued my enemies and destroyed them, And I did not turn back until they were consumed (eliminated). “I consumed them and shattered them, so that they did not rise; They fell under my feet. “For You have surrounded me with strength for the battle; You have subdued under me those who stood against me. “You have also made my enemies turn their backs to me [in retreat], And I destroyed those who hated me. “They looked, but there was no savior for them— Even to the LORD [they looked], but He did not answer them. “Then I beat them as [small as] the dust of the earth; I crushed and stamped them as the mire (dirt, mud) of the streets. “You also have rescued me from strife with my [own] people; You have kept me as the head of the nations. You even lift me above those who rise up against me; You rescue me from the violent man. “For this I will give thanks and praise You, O LORD, among the nations; I will sing praises to Your name. “He is a tower of salvation and great deliverance to His king, And shows lovingkindness to His anointed, To David and his offspring forever.”

2 Samuel 22:26-51 NET (New English Translation)

You prove to be loyal to one who is faithful; you prove to be trustworthy to one who is innocent. You prove to be reliable to one who is blameless, but you prove to be deceptive to one who is perverse. You deliver oppressed people, but you watch the proud and bring them down. Indeed, you are my lamp, LORD. The LORD illumines the darkness around me. Indeed, with your help I can charge against an army; by my God’s power I can jump over a wall. The one true God acts in a faithful manner; the LORD’s promise is reliable; he is a shield to all who take shelter in him. Indeed, who is God besides the LORD? Who is a protector besides our God? The one true God is my mighty refuge; he removes the obstacles in my way. He gives me the agility of a deer; he enables me to negotiate the rugged terrain. He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend even the strongest bow. You give me your protective shield; your willingness to help enables me to prevail. You widen my path; my feet do not slip. I chase my enemies and destroy them; I do not turn back until I wipe them out. I wipe them out and beat them to death; they cannot get up; they fall at my feet. You give me strength for battle; you make my foes kneel before me. You make my enemies retreat; I destroy those who hate me. They cry out, but there is no one to help them; they cry out to the LORD, but he does not answer them. I grind them as fine as the dust of the ground; I crush them and stomp on them like clay in the streets. You rescue me from a hostile army; you preserve me as a leader of nations; people over whom I had no authority are now my subjects. Foreigners are powerless before me; when they hear of my exploits, they submit to me. Foreigners lose their courage; they shake with fear as they leave their strongholds. The LORD is alive! My protector is praiseworthy! The God who delivers me is exalted as king! The one true God completely vindicates me; he makes nations submit to me. He delivers me from my enemies; you snatch me away from those who attack me; you rescue me from violent men. So I will give you thanks, O LORD, before the nations! I will sing praises to you. He gives his chosen king magnificent victories; he is faithful to his chosen ruler, to David and to his descendants forever!”
