1 Kings 22:53
1 Kings 22:51-53 The Message (MSG)
Ahaziah son of Ahab became king over Israel in Samaria in the seventeenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah. He ruled Israel for two years. As far as GOD was concerned, he lived an evil life, reproducing the bad life of his father and mother, repeating the pattern set down by Jeroboam son of Nebat, who led Israel into a life of sin. Worshiping at the Baal shrines, he made GOD, the God of Israel, angry, oh, so angry. If anything, he was worse than his father.
1 Kings 22:53 King James Version (KJV)
for he served Baal, and worshipped him, and provoked to anger the LORD God of Israel, according to all that his father had done.
1 Kings 22:53 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
So he served Baal and worshiped him and provoked the LORD God of Israel to anger, according to all that his father had done.
1 Kings 22:53 New Century Version (NCV)
Ahaziah worshiped and served the god Baal, and this made the LORD, the God of Israel, very angry. In these ways Ahaziah did what his father had done.
1 Kings 22:53 American Standard Version (ASV)
And he served Baal, and worshipped him, and provoked to anger Jehovah, the God of Israel, according to all that his father had done.
1 Kings 22:53 New International Version (NIV)
