Jésus entre dans Jéricho et il traverse la ville. Là, il y a un homme appelé Zachée. C’est le chef des employés des impôts. Il est riche. Il cherche à voir qui est Jésus, mais il ne le peut pas. En effet, il y a beaucoup de monde et Zachée est petit. Il court devant et il monte sur un arbre pour voir Jésus qui va passer par là.

Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through. A man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was wealthy. He wanted to see who Jesus was, but because he was short he could not see over the crowd. So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him, since Jesus was coming that way.
