Jacob aime Joseph plus que ses autres enfants. En effet, il l’a eu quand il était déjà vieux. Il lui fait faire un vêtement brodé magnifique. Les frères de Joseph voient que leur père l’aime plus qu’eux tous. Alors ils commencent à le détester. Ils sont même incapables de lui parler gentiment.
