I Choose Gratitude: A 5-Day Plan on Being Grateful When Life Is Toughનમૂનો
Day4: Choosing Gratitude While Waiting for God to Bring My Husband
Waiting for the right person to enter my life has been one of my most difficult seasons. The longing for companionship, partnership, and love is natural, yet when the wait extends longer than expected, it can lead to frustration, doubt, and even loneliness. In these moments, God has called me to place my trust and, perhaps more importantly, gratitude in Him. While the waiting is hard, choosing gratitude this season has transformed my heart and shifted my focus from what I lack to the many blessings in my life.
Proverbs 3:5- 6 reminds me to trust the Lord with all my heart, leaning not on my understanding. I may not often understand why the wait is so long, but gratitude helps me remember that God’s timing is perfect. By thanking Him for what He’s already doing in my life —strengthening my faith, preparing me for future blessings, and deepening my relationship with Him- I open my heart to the beauty of this season. Gratitude helps me find peace while waiting for God to bring the right person into my life.
In choosing gratitude, I found that this waiting period is not wasted. It is a time of preparation, where God works behind the scenes and shapes me into the person, He has called me to be. As I focus on growing my relationship with God, I trust He is preparing my future husband, too. Gratitude reminds me that this season of waiting is part of God’s greater plan for my life.
