Immanuel

RECITE GOD’S GOODNESS:

Blessed Immanuel, You are so good that You would come to earth to be with us. Not just God for us, over us, before us, and behind us, but God with us and within us. And Jesus, because of your life, death, and resurrection, we get to be with you forever. 

EXPRESS YOUR NEEDINESS:

God, forgive me for moving through my day completely oblivious to You. Help me walk with You, every decision discussed with You, every hard conversation entered into with You, every opportunity to love and serve . . . with You. Help me live with You today. 

SEEK HIS STILLNESS:

Visualize what you have planned today, including the hard moments that likely await you. Picture Jesus with you in each of those places, and allow His presence with you to bring rest to your soul. 

TRUST HIS FAITHFULNESS:

From the beginning, Your desire was to be with us; and in Jesus, You have forever united Yourself to humankind. And one day soon, God’s dwelling place will once again be with us. The promise fulfilled in Immanuel—God WITH us. So no matter what I face today, I am not alone, because You are in me, and I get to live this life with You.
