The Grandeur of God
Isaiah 40:12-26
Isaiah 40:12-26
God’s child can ‘Keep Calm’ in all circumstances when we are reminded of God’s grandeur. In Isaiah 40:12-26, Isaiah helps us to catch a glimpse of God’s grandeur as he paints a “picture” for us.
I. God’s grandeur is seen through His creation and wisdom (v. 12-14).
II. God’s grandeur surpasses that of the nations and their false gods (v. 15-20).
III. God’s grandeur is settled by His sovereignty and strength (v. 21-26).
Conclusion: Isaiah painted his picture in or to elicit a response from us.
A. To lead us to worship.
B. To lead us to listen.
C. To lead us to trust and to keep calm.
A. To lead us to worship.
B. To lead us to listen.
C. To lead us to trust and to keep calm.
Remember to Pray: That God will protect our medical workers from Covid-19 as they carry out their work...for strength and peace as the stay-at-home mandate has been extended through the month of May...for the Board of Elders as they guide the search process forward. ..for Ben & Erin H. as they await the arrival of their child in May...for our teachers, students and families as the decision has been made to not return to classes this school year...for Mike & Heidi R. as they continue to care for Heidi's father in their home...for Nik H. and Chase V. as they serve our nation in the US Army overseas....for those planning for this year's VVBS (Virtual Vacation Bible School)...that all those in our congregation who fall into the 'at risk' demographic will be able to steer clear of the coronavirus...for those who have or who are anticipating a loss of income as 'non-essential' businesses remain closed through the end of the month...for our president, governor and other elected officials as the weight of many decisions which impact the lives of millions rest upon their shoulders...for our missionaries who are experiencing the challenges presented by Covid-19 in places far removed from their family support systems.

Build the Bridge: A note from the Board of Directors of Miracle Camp
Dear FEC Church Family,
As you may have heard by now, the current health crisis has already had a huge impact on Miracle Camp. Due to the stay at home order, and for the health and well being of our guests, we have cancelled all Man Camp and Women’s Retreat events for the spring, which spanned over 6 weekends and included around 1,000 guests. As of now, we are planning on holding Summer Camp but, as you can probably guess, those plans may change. You may not know this, but over 90% of camp’s revenue comes from guests and campers. This leaves us in a very challenging financial situation as our camper and guest revenues have dropped to zero.
In light of this, our Board of Directors and Executive Director have authorized a special campaign to help camp through this time. We are calling this our “Build the Bridge” Campaign. The goal is to develop additional resources that will create a bridge to and through the summer (the next 3-6 months). Our objective is to raise $150,000. This will help ensure survival and a healthy camp as we come through this crisis.
We are intentionally and aggressively cutting and minimizing every expense possible and our staff team will most certainly be affected in some way. Our hope is to minimize this impact and to keep our core staff team intact so that we can still have a full summer and fall of youth and family programs.
Our team would greatly appreciate your prayers for wisdom for our Board of Directors and our staff team as we make decisions during this unprecedented time. If you are able, we also would ask that you would prayerfully consider supporting Miracle Camp with a financial gift to our Build the Bridge Campaign.
