Faith Lutheran Church Oakville
Lazarus Life: The Stench of Transformation, Pastor John Brunette
The 70's band Lynyrd Skynyrd wrote a song titled "That Smell" which includes the words, "Ooooh that smell, Can't you smell that smell. . .The smell of death surrounds you." Needless to say, the smell of death (as updated to us hourly through the media) through this Corona Virus scare has produced tremendous amounts of fear in the minds of so many. Surprisingly, the Bible has much to say about the stench of death and the aroma of life. What will be "that smell" you have as a child of God, and what fragrance will we diffuse as representatives of Christ during these uncertain times? Pastor John tackles this topic today as we continue our series on the Lazarus Life

We believe God wants to position Faith to be a generous body of believers able to invest in missional ministry where we live, work, play and beyond; wherever God leads us to bless those who need the Gospel. Faith members and regular attenders are on a journey to discover what it means to move from being blessed to blessing others. We give with gratitude in response to God’s grace and sacrificial love in Jesus, who already has met our deepest needs. He works through the sacrifice and generosity of His people to meet the needs of others and to fuel the mission of His church to make disciples.
