https://www.thesummitchurch.live/Pastor Jonathan began by talking about how our problems tend to cause us to naturally become more self-absorbed. Why do you think that is?
The big idea of this sermon was “Don’t just have problems; use them for good.” Name some ways our problems can be used for good in the lives of others.
What is the bigger picture of God helping you get through your problems? How aware are you, typically, that God works through people (that He might be using someone to help you with your problem and could be using you to help someone else with theirs?)
What does it mean to “carry” each other’s burdens and what does this have to do with the “law of Christ”?
Discuss the difference that Jonathan pointed out between History and Legacy.
How does our culture often do a better job at helping others than the Church and Christians?
Discuss the role of prayer in helping others. How is it often used as an “out”?
There is a helpful and not so helpful way to use your own experiences and story in helping others. Discuss the difference.
What encouraging realities are discovered in this passage? (There are several.) Why is this a great focus to end this series on problems?
Close in prayer.
