Sermon Title: Bearings: Rediscovering the Trinity, Rediscovering Life
Main Scripture: Zeph 3:14-18
14 Shout for joy, daughter of Zion, Israel, shout aloud! Rejoice, dance with all your heart, daughter of Jerusalem! 15 The Lord has repealed your sentence; he has turned your enemy away. The Lord is King among you, Israel, you have nothing more to fear. 16 When the Day of the Lord comes, the message for Jerusalem will be: Zion, have no fear, do not let your hands fall limp. 17 The Lord your God is there with you, the mighty Savior. He will rejoice over you with happy song, he will renew you by his love, he will dance with shouts of joy over you, 18 as on a day of festival. I have taken away your misfortune, no longer need you bear the disgrace of it. (Zeph. 3:14-18)

Article 1:
We believe in one eternally existent, infinite God, Sovereign Creator and Sustainer of the universe; that He only is God, holy in nature, attributes, and purpose. The God who is holy love and light is Triune in essential being, revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in one eternally existent, infinite God, Sovereign Creator and Sustainer of the universe; that He only is God, holy in nature, attributes, and purpose. The God who is holy love and light is Triune in essential being, revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in one God. He has always existed and always will; he is without end. As the Creator of the universe, God continually rules over and sustains his creation. He alone is God. God is holy, that is, completely good. Being completely good is at the core of who he is and what he does, and it affects everything else there is to say about him.
He is also holy love, which means he is completely love, and because love requires more than one person, he is complete in three persons--he is Triune. He is also holy light, that is, he is completely light. This means that there is no darkness in him, that he drives out darkness, and that it is only by him that we can see how we should live. The three persons of the one Godhead are the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
