Temptation
· Temptation is not sin (James 1:14-15)
· The Biblical way to deal with the temptation is RUN!!! (1 Corinthians 6:18, 2 Timothy 2:22)
· Temptation is always about lies – live in truth (2 Corinthians 10:5)
· Moral failure generally doesn’t happen in an instant, but gradually over time
· We are most vulnerable to temptation when we are alone, unoccupied and unaccountable
· We must strive to help others withstand temptation, not to add temptation (Romans 12:12-13)
Sin
· Proverbs 9:17 "Stolen water is sweet; and bread eaten in secret is pleasant."
· Sin will intoxicate you, under its influence you miss the danger signs
· Sin only brings joy for a moment, it is fleeting (Proverbs 9:17-18)
More Sin
· Be sure your sin will find you out! (Numbers 32:23)
· Sin always leads to more sin
· The guilt of sin leads to deception
· Sin always ends up hurting more people that you intend (Psalm 32:3-4; Psalm 51:3)
Restoration
· The great news in this is our God is a God of Redemption
· There is a simple solution to experience God’s redemption: Repentance, Confession, Reconciliation, Forgiveness, Obedience
