Takeaway’s from David’s Success and Failure

· Establishing and maintaining right priorities is the key to long-term success

What are the right, lasting priorities?
1. Knowing, following, serving Jesus is priority #1
2. Family is priority #2
3. Job/Career falls below the top two

· Career success can mask failure in other more important areas of our life

· Failure with God and family lasts way longer than success in career

· If you fail with God or your family, chances are great your kids will fail at the same pressure points too (1 Kings 11:3)

· There is a simple solution to correcting failure: Repentance, Confession, Reconciliation, Forgiveness, Obedience
