SHP - Save The Date August 10
Join us on Saturday, August 10 for a rewarding day of building bunk beds for kids who don’t have a bed. Bring your kids, your friends, coworkers, and/or neighbors. This is a great opportunity for everyone to pitch in and make a difference in the lives of families in our community.
Sleep in Heavenly Peace will coordinate with our church for a build day on Saturday, August 10 from 8:00am – 12:00pm. Teams of volunteers will help deliver beds while others will be building beds. Each bed will include the frame, pillows, sheets, and comforters. We need builders (age 12 and older), babysitters, and a hospitality team to help make our build day event fun and memorable. Builders only need to bring work gloves. Everything else will be provided, including childcare for children under 12 years old. If you would like to help, you can sign up online at https://hittheriver.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/253808.

In Need?
The River Church has a Deacon Team in place to address the needs of people who are in the midst of difficult circumstances. We invite people to contact us, whether for yourself or for another person at the River. If you want to be considered for help by the Deacon Team, it is as simple as sending a message to deaconteam@HitTheRiver.com. The Deacon Team is made up of 4 members: Melisa Bock, Vicki Chappell, Terry Daviaux, and Phil Wolf. All requests are handled with confidentiality. The Deacon Team also helps provide boxes of food and personal hygiene products to people in need whether or not they attend the River Church.
