Ironically, Jesus taught that the blessed would bear the brunt of mistreatment.
Jesus challenged his disciples to a higher standard of love.
For the disciples, love was both an unnatural and uneducated response to an enemy's behavior.
True love is not selective when it is possessed and practiced.
Your enemy seeks to harm your relationship, hijack your purpose or hinder your progress in the Lord.
“Doing good” suggests empowering your enemy with what they need to become whole.
Pray that your enemy’s heart to be changed.
When faced with evil and hatred, respond with mercy and in love.
Refuse to seek revenge although you have that right.
Be compassionate and sensitive toward the needs of your enemy.
Respond to your enemy in a way that encourages self-reflection.
Don’t let your egotism (and materialism) interrupt your evangelism.
