One way change happens is simply via: TIME (think of all the changes that have happened in your life - from when you were 10 to today?)
Another way change happens is via: FOCUS
*focus 'light' and it can become a laser and cut through a wall; unfocused light can illuminate a room wall to wall.

FOCUS is a key that can lead to change, progress, growth – growth as a person and as a disciple of Jesus!

The principle of focus is actually a principle of power that helps us in our weakness to stay on track.
So here’s the main point today: ​
Less is more!
Focus is fuel for us to experience the greatest transformation.

It is a paradox that less is more. It doesn’t naturally seem right. But often, spiritual truth is a paradox to what we normally experience. And here’s the key. You have to embrace spiritual paradox to follow Jesus and live well.

Here are just a few of the spiritual paradoxes in the Bible:

1. Proverbs 10:19 (MSG) - ​The more talk, the less truth; the wise measure their words.
2. Matthew 10:39 - ​Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.
3. Luke 6:38 - ​Give, and it will be given to you.
4. Matthew 23:12 - ​For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those
who humble themselves will be exalted.
5. Matthew 20:16 - ​So the last will be first, and the first will be last.

ONE WORD.
First, think about something that you want to change in you or something you want to see God grow within you this year. Maybe it is an area you want to grow in or become more like Jesus in.
To do this I want to challenge you to pick ONE WORD that will help you accomplish that. I want you to think about one word that will best capture the one thing that would bring hope, change, renewal and newness to you this year. =What one word do you want shape how you live in 2019?
=Pick one word to focus on for one whole year.

ONE PERSON.
*ask God to show you the ONE person you can be praying for this year that they would come to know Jesus personally.

Every day we pray for this one person. We pray that God will invade and intersect their life. We pray that they become more and MORE AWARE OF GOD and His activity in their lives. We pray that God will help us either create a relationship or deepen a relationship. We pray for an opportunity to Listen – to have natural spiritual conversations. We pray that God will bring situations and people into their lives to lead them to a place where they desire Jesus or to investigate more about him! We pray for their welfare. We pray for whatever we know to pray about. Imagine if for a given period of time that you focus your prayers every day on one person.
We pray the B.L.E.S.S. strategy (Begin with prayer. Listen. Eat together. Serve them. Share your story/God's story)

Less is more!
