Why do you think we often allow comparisons to become personal and affect what we think about and how we feel about who we are?
We tend to compare in extremes, either comparing “down” with feelings of superiority, or comparing “up” with feelings of inferiority.

- As a Group, identify examples of both in culture.
- Share with the Group an example of both in your life.
- Which one do you tend to struggle with more often?
How do our phones and technology affect all of this? How does this affect you?
How does this statement make you feel/think?: “God made me to be me, no more, no less.”
Genesis 1:26-27 teaches us that we are all created as “images” (pictures) of God. How does this affect how you see yourself? How about how you see others?
This means our most foundational identity is “Good”. How does this idea resonate with you?
Name some things that often blur and even hide our true identity as “pictures of God”? What most often blurs/hides that in your own life?
Pastor Jonathan taught that if we’re going to compare ourselves to anyone, it should be Jesus. Discuss the reality of that in regards to why Jesus gave His life for us. How does knowing, trusting, and following Jesus bring clarity to who God truly created us to be?
