<b>Deck The River Halls</b><br>Do you love decorating for Christmas? If so, join us at The River Church on Tuesday, November 27 at 11:30am to decorate the church for Christmas. Children of all ages are welcome and lunch will be served.<br><br><b>RiverBank Kids Volunteers Needed</b><br>We are growing! It takes a lot of volunteers to make our children’s ministry run smoothly and safely each week. We are in need of additional helpers and teachers during both services. Come help our kids learn about Jesus, worship, and play. Email Tami Richardson at tami@hittheriver.com for more information on how to get connected.<br><br><b>Food for Hope House</b><br>The River Youth will be feeding our homeless neighbors at Hope House Mission in Middletown on Saturday, December 1 and are looking for people who would be willing to provide some food for them. Because of the cold weather, we are looking to serve them chili and sides. If you would be interested in providing this, please contact zach@HitTheRiver.com by Wednesday, November 28.<br><br><b>Kid’s Night Out</b><br>Parents are you ready to start your Christmas shopping? Leave the kids with us and enjoy a night to shop Friday, December 7 from 5:30pm-8:00pm. Your child may wear his/her favorite Christmas pajamas and join us for a night of Christmas fun with the Grinch, pizza, crafts, and games. Register your 3 year old (potty trained) to 5th grade student by Sunday, December 2 at https://hittheriver.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/166973. The cost is $10 for your first child and $5 for each additional child. The proceeds from this event go to Kids Helping Kids, which supports the food/resource pantry at Wyandot Elementary. Contact Tami at tami@HitTheRiver.com if you have any questions.<br><br><b>Christmas Eve Choir</b><br>It is time to start preparing for our Christmas Eve services. If you would like to participate as a choir member, sign up on your connection card or email justin@HitTheRiver.com. Don’t forget to include your email and vocal part. Deadline to sign up is December 2.<br><br><b>Youth Christmas Party</b><br>The River Youth will be bringing back their annual Christmas Party on Sunday, December 16 from 6:30pm-8:00pm. We will be doing an Ugly Christmas Outfit contest, worshipping together, and ending by bringing back the classic tradition of the white elephant gift exchange. Students are encouraged to bring a cheap, fun and silly gift to share for the exchange. We hope your student will join us.<br><br><b>River Youth Caroling</b><br>The River Youth is heading to Mt Pleasant Retirement Community on Wednesday, December 19 in Monroe from 6:00pm-7:00pm to bless the residents with Christmas Carols. This is not just for the youth group. It is open to anyone who would be interested in joining. Contact zach@HitTheRiver.com if you are interested. <br><br><b>River Youth Christmas Movie</b><br>We are inviting all students in 6th-12th grade to join us on Sunday, December 23 after the 11:15am service, downstairs in the Community Room for the Christmas movie Elf. Pizza and drinks will be provided. We hope your student will join us! Elf is rated PG for mild rude humor and language.<br><br><b>E-Newsletter</b><br>Once a month we send out an e-newsletter with informative articles, event information, and stories from people in our congregation. If you’d like to receive the e-newsletter, you can sign up online at http://eepurl.com/cTmULD<br><br><b>In Need?</b><br>The River Church has a Deacon Team in place to address the needs of people who are in the midst of difficult circumstances. We invite people to contact us, whether for yourself or for another person at the River. If you want to be considered for help by the Deacon Team, it is as simple as sending a message to DeaconTeam@HitTheRiver.com. The Deacon Team is made up of 4 members: Melisa Bock, Vicki Chappell, Terry Daviaux, and Phil Wolf. All requests are handled with confidentiality. The Deacon Team also helps provide boxes of food and personal hygiene products to people in need whether or not they attend the River Church.<br><br><b>SHP - Help Needed</b><br>Sleep in Heavenly Peace makes sure no kids sleeps on the floor in Butler County by building beds for kids who don’t have one. They need help delivering beds. If you can help, please contact Mike Watkins at mike.watkins@shpbeds.org. If you have a truck/van you are willing to use to move the beds, they could really use your help.<br><br><b>Women’s Book Club</b><br>Meets Fridays at 10:00am at The River Church. Contact Margaret Layman with any questions at margaret.s.layman@gmail.com or Lucy Rau at lak821@hotmail.com. Kids are welcome.<br><br><b>Affinity Groups</b><br>Connect with others who share similar interests in a fun and inviting way! Make new River friends while creating natural environments to engage those not yet connected to The River. Affinity Groups can form the basis of long-lasting friendships and community that point you and others to Jesus. Here are the groups for you to choose from: Archery, Card/Board Games, Biking, Photography, Running, Scrapbooking &amp; Crafting. Email your prayer request to prayer@HitTheRiver.com. <br><br><b>Angels Among Us</b><br>There are times in life when we can be in a situation where a meal would be a blessing, such as after giving birth or when dealing with a medical situation. Through our Angels Among Us ministry, you can help people within our church by bringing them a meal. To join, send an email to info@HitTheRiver.com letting us know you’d like to be part of this ministry. When a need arises, you will receive an email asking if you can sign up to bring a meal. If you are in a situation where you could be blessed by a meal, please email us at info@HitTheRiver.com.
