ExpandPumpkin Glow - RiverBank Kids
Experience a glow-in-the-dark family worship time, followed by a friendly pumpkin-carving contest and snacks. Bring one pumpkin for your family, your favorite carving tools (we will have a few extra carving supplies on hand if you don’t have any), and don’t forget your unique (non-scary) carving ideas. Vote for your favorite pumpkin designs, and then get your cameras ready for a pumpkin glow finale. Join us here at The River Church on Sunday, October 28 from 6:30pm-8:00pm for a glowing good time!
River Youth Chicago Mission Trip
In 2019, The River Youth is going on a Mission Trip again but this time to the great city of Chicago. While there we will be partnering with local ministries to show the love of Christ to the local people in the northern Chicago area. We will be staying in Wheaton, IL and serving with safe but engaging ministries. We would love for your students join us! Spots are limited so make sure you get your $50 deposit in by October 28 to secure your spot. Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Challenge
It’s that time of year again where we start collecting boxes for Operation Christmas Child. The deadline for submitting boxes is Sunday, November 11. Unfortunately boxes received after November 11 will not be sent to the kids. More information available on the Samaritan’s Purse insert in the bulletin.
Serve City
The River Church is scheduled to serve Saturday October 27, from 9:45am-12:00pm at the food pantry, Serve City. If you are interested in serving, arrive at 9:45am at Serve City and you will be shown how you can help. They are located at 622 East Avenue, Hamilton. Dolly and Me Tea
Join us for an afternoon of frills, finger foods, and fun. Girls preschool age and older are invited to tea with their doll and mom (or favorite mom figure) from 2:30pm-4:00pm on Saturday, November 10 at The River Church. Taste teas and sweet treats, make a gift for yourself and your doll, and learn about proper tea etiquette from the owner of The Tea Parlor of Liberty Township. Mentor moms from The River also are welcome to attend and share their wisdom with younger moms. Frilly attire, bows, and hats are encouraged. If you have tea pots or tea cups you would like to donate or loan for the event, please contact Tami Richardson at tami@HitTheRiver.com. New Women's Group
All day, every day, an invisible war rages around you — unseen, unheard, yet felt throughout every aspect of your life. If you’re tired of being pushed around and caught with your guard down, The Armor of God study is for you. The Armor of God, more than merely a biblical description of the believer’s inventory, is an action plan for putting it on and developing a personalized strategy to secure victory. Kid’s Night Out
Do you need a date night with your spouse? Or maybe you need some time for Christmas shopping? We can help with a Kids Night Out on Friday, December 7! The cost is $10 for your first child and $5 for each additional sibling. We’ll provide child care, pizza, crafts, games, movie, and tons of fun. Angels Among Us
There are times in life when we can be in a situation where a meal would be a blessing, such as after giving birth or when dealing with a medical situation. Through our Angels Among Us ministry, you can help people within our church by bringing them a meal. To join, send an email to info@HitTheRiver.com letting us know you’d like to be part of this ministry. When a need arises, you will receive an email asking if you can sign up to bring a meal. If you are in a situation where you could be blessed by a meal, please email us at info@HitTheRiver.com.
