Sermon Title: How to Know and Live God's Will, Part 1
Sermon Text: Psalm 25:1-15
Preparation Question: In searching for God’s will, are you asking for His divine direction, or merely His permission to do what you already want to do? Are you just asking for His advice, or His absolute authority?

Four foundational postures that position us to discern and walk in the will of God:
1. Relinquish your future to Jesus: Seek His heart over His mysteries. (Ps. 25:1–3)

2. Revere Christ supremely: Cultivate the fear of the Lord. (Ps. 25:12–14; Flavel rule 1)

3. Rest in God's Revelation: Anchor yourself in His Word. (Ps. 25:4–5, 10; Flavel rule 2)

4. Request God's guidance: Ask and listen for His wisdom.(Psalm 25 is a prayer throughout; Flavel rule 4)

Response Questions:
1. How does focusing on Christ's proven history change how we handle tomorrow's hidden mysteries?
2. How does a lack of holy fear prevent us from discerning God’s direction in our daily choices?
3. Why do we often spend more time analyzing worldly advice than resting in God’s Word for guidance?
4. How can we move our prayer life from simply listing our demands to actively asking for and listening to God's wisdom?
5. What is one decision or area of uncertainty you are facing right now where you need to stop asking for God’s advice and surrender to His absolute authority?
