We are really good at measuring our lives by things Jesus doesn’t use to measure our lives.
What does Jesus see?
“Jesus, is there something here You want to say to me?”
JESUS WANTS US TO CHOOSE:
1. RELATIONSHIP over REPUTATION.
REVELATION: 404 verses total. 278 verses contain references, allusions, or imagery from the Old Testament.
2. FAITHFULNESS over STRENGTH.
“Discipleship: a long obedience in the same direction.” —Eugene Peterson
3. PASSION over POSSESSIONS.
TAKEAWAY: Do the NEXT THING Jesus is asking you to do. Read Revelation 3.
-Where am I maintaining an APPEARANCE instead of obeying Jesus?
-Where do I need to stay faithful, even though I feel WEAK?
-Where have I become so COMFORTABLE that I no longer depend on Jesus?
