Real Life Church

The Heart of a Witness

The Heart of a Witness

There are questions many of us carry but rarely say out loud: What does it really mean to follow Jesus?
Can I believe in Him without surrendering everything?
 Why does church matter?
What is my purpose?
And what might God do through my life if I stopped holding back? In this five-part series, we will explore what it means to go all in with Jesus, His Church, His mission, and the resources He has entrusted to us. We will celebrate baptisms, hear stories of lives being changed locally and globally, look toward the future of Real Life Church, and discover how God can use surrendered people to impact generations. You do not have to have everything figured out. You simply have to be willing to take your next step.

Message Description:
What makes someone a great witness for Jesus? It starts with more than seeing a need—it starts with compassion.

In ALL IN, we’ll look at the Good Samaritan and discover why some people see a problem while others see a person. We’ll talk practically about how to see people through gospel eyes, move past judgment, understand what someone may need next spiritually, and love people in a way that actually points them toward Jesus.

You’ll leave with simple ways to see your one, love your one, pray for them, meet a need, and share Jesus naturally.

Key words: Church, Unity, Community, Mission, Together Finding a church
What moves you to STOP?
COMPASSION HELPS UNTIL THE PERSON IS HEALED!
hey
Where are they spiritually, and what does love require from me to help them take their next step?
If Compassion Fails so Does Your Own Growth!
Talk it Over

1. Who Do You Tend to Walk Past?
In the Good Samaritan story, several people saw the wounded man, but only one stopped. Who are the kinds of people you are most tempted to overlook, avoid, judge, or assume someone else will help? Why?

2. What Moves You to Stop?
Think about a time someone’s pain genuinely moved you to act. What made you stop, notice, and care? What do you think keeps us from responding that way more often?

3. Where Has Jesus Shown You Mercy?
The Samaritan gave mercy because mercy was needed. Where have you personally experienced the patience, grace, forgiveness, or compassion of Jesus? How should remembering that change the way you treat others?

4. Do You See a Problem—or a Person?
It is easy to reduce someone to their behavior, struggle, addiction, opinion, or mistake. Is there someone in your life you need to stop seeing as a “problem” and start seeing as a person Jesus loves?

5. What Does This Person Need Next?
Think of one person God has placed near you. Would you describe them as spiritually dead, an infant, child, young adult, or parent? Based on where they are, what might love require from you right now—gospel, care, teaching, encouragement, purpose, or accountability?

6. Are You Expecting Too Much Too Soon?
Have you ever been frustrated because someone was not growing as quickly as you wanted? How can compassion help us stop asking, “Why aren’t they more mature?” and start asking, “What do they need from me to take their next step?”

7. Who Is in the Ditch Near You?
Who in your everyday life may be hurting, lonely, confused, spiritually searching, or overwhelmed right now? What is one practical way you could “help until they heal” this week?

8. Who Is Your One?
Who is the one person God may be asking you to intentionally love, pray for, serve, encourage, or disciple this season? What specific step will you take this week to move toward them rather than simply form an opinion about them?
