• It starts here - Someone who is dead, is POSSESSED by Christ
• Many people make Jesus their savior but never surrender their will, and they fall right back into the life they were living previously.

• Lordship - A massive part of being DEAD
• …”No longer I WHO LIVE, but CHRIST who lives IN ME…”
• It’s this: I no longer am living for me, but Christ IN ME is DRIVING ME NOW
• If our relationship with Jesus is like a car ride, some of you have let Jesus in the car, but not the drivers seat yet.
• JESUS - the one whom every human heart aches for but it takes humility to receive him. Too many people are too prideful to experience/receive Jesus

• We serve a God that was meant to be experienced not just read about!
• Paul KNEW THE SCRIPTURES BETTER THAN ANYONE BUT STILL HADN'T ENCOUNTERED JESUS
• To be dead means: You don’t live this life for YOU anymore. You live it for Jesus

• Harm = not only physical pain but mental, emotional pain
• IF you are more focused on how YOU feel, and what YOU look like, and what people THINK about YOU, than doing what God says, and caring what God thinks about you, you will slowly lose all awareness of God and His will for your life

• Jesus said, “Unless you hate your mother, father, sister, brother, you are not worthy of following me.”
• Jesus isn’t literally meaning to hate, what he is saying is this:
• If you love anyone more than you love me, if you care about anyone more than you care about me, at some point that person will get in the way of my will for your life.
• If its a parent - go to the college your parent wants you to, or listen to God and go be a missionary like you feel him asking you to do.
• IF its a spouse - You stop going to church because your spouse isn’t feeling it
• Best Friend - you jump off the “bridge” because your friend does
