Foundation text:
Main takeaway:
Going from Information to Faith.
Introduction:
Formally, faith (noun) pistis means to accept as true, relational trust (as with a child trusting a parent), a conviction or certainty of belief, active obedience, and the act of believing. Faith is the foundation of one's thinking, behavior, and talk.
1. Faith comes by hearing.

Hearing, meditating, and accepting God's Word as truth reprograms our thinking because, as we establish FAITH, the corresponding action is "believing" because we ACT on what we believe.
a. There is a difference between FAITH & BELIEVE.
b. FAITH is the foundation upon which we establish what we believe.
c. Faith is when our thoughts, words, and behavior redefine WHO we are, as it pertains to God's Word.
d. WORD = Rhema - the spoken, uttered, declared, or narrated Word of God whether preached by another or spoken by you. But to build YOUR faith, it's good for you to hear yourself speaking the WORD.
e. Jesus Disciples are commissioned to share the Gospel with the World. How can they do it unless faith and God's Word is in them.

Knowing does not equal faith; it equals knowing.
To have Biblical information that does not provoke action makes one knowledgeable; to have Biblical information that provokes action makes one just foolish enough to be successful.
Israel never entered the promised land because they trusted their fear over God's promises.
2. Doubt blocks the power of the Word.
Vs. 3 "believe" = pisteuo = the verb - to trust; rely upon; or have faith in...
Believing is the result of faith. We will act and speak according to what we believe, even if our belief is based on lies.
3. Believing activates God’s promises.

Pisteuo - to radically trust, commit to, be fully persuaded.
"unbelief" = apistia - lack or want of Christian faith.

Key Thought:
Faith is released when God’s Word is believed, not just read. Believing is the result of foundational faith... immovable confidence.
Weekly Challenge:
1. Declare 3 Scriptures daily over your life.

2. Memorize Romans 10:17.

3. Write one promise you are believing God for.
