(1) FORTY days IS GOD's pattern for preparation (Exodus 24:18, 34:28 NKJV, 1 Kings 19:8 NKJV, Luke 4:1-2 NKJV, Matthew 4:1-2 NKJV)
Biblically speaking God used 40 days to prepare His vessels for the next level.
- Moses spent forty days and forty nights on Mt Sinai
- Elijah, exhausted and ready to quit, was strengthened by one meal and walked forty days and nights to Horeb, the mountain of God, to hear His voice (1 Kings 19:8).
- Jesus' example in Luke and Matthew

- Most of us have never spent forty consective days consuming the word of God with focus and intensity.
