Preparation Question: Whose voice are you listening to in the middle of the fight—the noise of the crowd, or the steady voice of Jesus?

Three strategic directives for victory in our everyday battles:
1. Know your Cornerman. (v. 1-3, 25-26)

2. Study the Champ. (v. 4-8, 16-19)

3. Trust your Promoter. (v. 9-15, 20-24)

1. What is the difference, as Jesus models it in His prayer, between simply knowing about God and truly knowing Him?
2. When you look at the life of Jesus, what is the hardest area of His character (prayer life, handling critics, loving others) for you to mimic in your own?
3. Jesus specifically prayed for our absolute unity so that the world would believe the Gospel. Why is unity such a critical strategy for victory in our everyday battles?
4. In what specific area of your life right now are you trying to micromanage the outcome instead of resting in the secure contract of your Savior and Advocate?
