And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
To make disciples you have to be a disciple.

Spirit-Empowered Life
A life of disciple in made possible by the presence of the Holy Spirit.

Without the Holy Spirit, discipleship becomes a test of my will power.

With the Holy Spirit, discipleship is experience in God's power.

Now if you will obey me and keep my covenant, you will be my own special treasure from among all the peoples on earth; for all the earth belongs to me. • Be disciples & Make disciples




(Ezekiel 36:26-27 NLT) - And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. And I will put my Spirit in you so that you will follow my decrees and be careful to obey my regulations.

1. Holy Spirit gives us power to live righteously.

(Galatians 5:16-18 MSG) 'My counsel is this: Live freely, animated and motivated by God’s Spirit. ... so that you cannot live at times one way and at times another way according to how you feel on any given day. Why don’t you choose to be led by the Spirit and so escape the erratic compulsions of a law-dominated existence?

(John 16:13 NLT) When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. ...

• Having the Holy Spirit means we are never on our own.
2. Holy Spirit allows us to live supernaturally.

(Acts 10:38 NLT) And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.

(John 1:50 NLT) Jesus (said)"..., You will see greater things than this."

(Romans 8:11 NLT) The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.2. Holy Spirit allows us to live supernaturally.

• God's power activates the gifts God put in us.

• The Holy Spirit doesn't make me better than anyone, He makes me better than me.




3. Holy Spirit allows us to live missionally.

God's power is always about people.

(Luke 12:48 NLT) ... When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required.

• The Holy Sprit comes with responsibility and lets us partner with God... to reach people who don't know Him.




• Holy Spirit show me.

(Psalm 139:23-24 NLT) Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.

(Philippians 1:19 MSG) Through your faithful prayers and the generous response of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, everything he wants to do in and through me will be done. ...




• Holy Spirit fill me.

(Acts 2:4 NLT) And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit ...

(Acts 4:31 NLT) After this prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. ...

• Holy Spirit use me.

This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'
