(Matthew 28:18-20 NLT) Jesus came and told his disciples, "I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
Being Fruitful
(Genesis 1:27-28 NLT) So God created human beings in his own image. ... Then God blessed them and said, "Be fruitful and multiply. ..."
(John 15:8 NLT) When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father.

(John 15:8 NLT) When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father.
Fruit is what my life produces.
1. I bear fruit in my life.
(Matthew 7:16-20 NLT) You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act. Can you pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? A good tree produces good fruit, and a bad tree produces bad fruit. A good tree can't produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can't produce good fruit. So every tree that does not produce good fruit is chopped down and thrown into the fire. Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions.
• Fruit is obvious.

(Galatians 5:16-23 NLT) So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won't be doing what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions. But when you are directed by the Spirit, you are not under obligation to the law of Moses. When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God. But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!
Can the Holy Spirit push you in areas you lack fruit?

2. I bear fruit with my life.
(John 15:16 NLT) You didn't choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce , ...
God chose you.
• Fruit is beneficial.

1. Give generously.
(2 Corinthians 9:11 NLT) Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God.
Disciples look for opportunities to serve.

• Serve willingly.
(Mark 10:41-45 NLT) When the ten other disciples heard what James and John had asked, they were indignant. So Jesus called them together and said, "You know that the rulers in this world lord it over their people, and officials flaunttheir authority over those under them. But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first among you must be the slave of everyone else. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many."
God never intended your life to be self serving. God created us to serve others.

• Share Christ urgently.
(Proverbs 11:30 NIV) The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and the one who is wise saves lives.
(John 15:4-7 NLT) Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me. "Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned. But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, ...
We do not become what we want, we become what we do!
