Why do we want coaching?
· God’s will – Who can know it?
· How important is it to find these voices? Is it vital or is it nice?

How can you know God’s will?
1) The Word - (Promise of God)
2) The Holy Spirit - (Peace of God)
3) Godly Counsel - (People of God)

3 WARNING SIGNS:
1) “I need a personal priest.”
Rehoboam asked two groups of people but never consulted God.

2) “I only listen to God.”

3) “No one listens to me!”
People we lead do what we model for them more than what we say.

WHAT THIS LOOKS LIKE:
TRUSTED VOICES:
They start with God’s Word.
They love you enough to tell you the truth.
They see great things for your future.
They don’t need anything from you.

Be careful with the person who has a vested interest in your decisions.

PERSON WHO RECEIVES WISE COUNSEL:
They’re humble.
They’re teachable.
They receive correction as love, not rejection.
