Mark your calendar for May 16 from 12-2 pm. The children’s ministry will be having our 2nd annual Hotdogs and Handlebars event. We will be providing a hot dog lunch while the kids have an opportunity to ride their bikes and scooters on the paved parking lot. Please bring a dessert to share with everyone. You can sign up on the church app or on the bulletin board. Helmets are required for all riders! Parents and guardians, feel free to bring chairs.

The youth will meet for Goshen Guild on May 17 at 1:30 pm. This is open to all middle and high school students, with the intention of growing leadership, teamwork, and communication skills while providing a safe place to play. Register on our website or contact Sarah Martin for more information.

We will be celebrating our high school and college graduates on Sunday, May 31 during our worship service. Our worship team is looking for more voices and instrumentalists to help lead worship each week. If you sing or play guitar, drums, piano, or any other instrument, we’d love to have you join us. We will be collecting Walmart gift cards and cash donations for our team that will be going to Standing Rock July 13-25. These gifts cards and donations will go towards supplies and food needed for their VBS.

Get ready for an adventure through Rainforest Falls! Children ages 4 through 5th grade are invited to join us June 1-5 from 6-8 pm. There is a disaster relief rebuild opportunities in Mountain City, TN, June 7- 13. We would like to send volunteers from Goshen for this week. Because this is a rebuild opportunity, the disaster relief training is not required. You will be required to have a background check. Please contact Randy Wolfe if you are interested in going yourself or helping support the team through a financial gift.

Pray for the Southern Baptist Convention meeting in Orlando, Florida, June 9-10. The SBC Pastors’ Conference is June 7-8. Pastor Adam, Mark and Karen Jones, Sarah Martin, Mahea Thomas, and Travis Earley will be attending as messengers from Goshen.

We will be hosting a blood drive here in the fellowship hall on Thursday, June 11 from 10am-3pm. There are still plenty of spots available to schedule an appointment or to donate. You may schedule online at redcrossblood.org.

Make plans to join us on Sunday, June 28 at 5 pm for our Goshen Church Family Cookout! Hotdogs and hamburgers will be provided. Please bring a side and dessert to share. We’re looking forward to a wonderful time of fellowship together as a church family!

Registration for our 2026 Puerto Rico Mission Trip is now open. You can register in the church app. The trip is July 6-13. We will be serving Iglesia Bautista Castillo Fuerte by doing work on their church property and building to include yard work, pressure washing, painting (inside and out), and light interior construction to prepare classrooms using existing space. We will be working with church planters Christian and Valeria Acevedo and their young church in Gurabo. The cost of the trip is $900. This will include airfare, lodging, ground transportation, and most meals. You will need spending money for purchasing any meals you may need during travel. Financial assistance may be available if needed. If you are unable to go but are interested in providing financial assistance for someone else to go, please contact Pastor Adam. A deposit of $150 is required to secure your spot for the trip so that we can go ahead and purchase airfare. Three remaining payments of $250 each will be due by March 29, April 26, and May 31. Payments should be made by placing your payment in the church offering plate or by turning it in to the church office. Please label all payments as "Puerto Rico Mission trip." We will be having a summer book club again this summer. There are 3 books that have been chosen that will help you grow in your understanding of the Bible, theology, and the Christian life. It is $30 to join, which covers the cost of the books. You can register on the church app or contact Pastor Adam at pastoradamblosser@gmail.com. See May newsletter for more information.

During the summer, when school is not in session, our office manager, Laura, will have a limited office schedule. One of the groups we offer in the Goshen app is our Prayer Community. We encourage you to join this group and use this tool for your prayer requests. This is an easy and great way to get requests out immediately without having to go through the church office. If you have any questions about the app or how to join one of the groups, please contact the office.

The Children’s Ministry is urgently seeking volunteers to help with both Sunday school and Awana programs. These ministries are vital in providing a nurturing and supportive environment for children to grow in their faith, but they cannot thrive without the dedication and service of volunteers.
