If you had to describe a “giant” you’ve faced in life using only a movie title, song title, or book title, what would it be and why?
Who’s someone in your life that has modeled courageous faith to you, and what stands out about them?
David was faithful in ordinary, hidden places before he ever stood before a giant. Where might God be shaping you right now in places that feel unnoticed or ordinary?
What part of David and Goliath tends to capture your imagination most—the courage of David, the size of the giant, or the faithfulness of God—and why?
During the message, we reflected on how we often underestimate what God can do, who He can use, and how He can work. Where are you most tempted to underestimate God in your life right now?
David’s story doesn’t promise every giant falls the way we want, but it does invite us into courageous faith. What would it look like for you this week to take one practical step of trust toward a “giant” you’re facing—whether in a relationship, decision, fear, or area of obedience?
When you think about the idea that “this is the Lord’s battle,” how does that challenge or encourage the way you face the struggles you’re carrying today?
Closing Prayer
Father, thank You that no giant we face is bigger than Your power or outside of Your care. Thank You for the ways You prepare us in unseen places and for the courage You give when challenges stand in front of us. Help us not underestimate who You are, what You can do, or how You may want to work in and through us. Give us bold faith to trust You whether the giant falls quickly or whether You give us strength to keep standing. Form in us hearts that depend on You, walk with courage, and remember every battle belongs to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
