(Isaiah 1:18 NLT) "Come now, let's settle this," says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool.
Why do we never settle our past with God?
• Bury it.

(Hebrews 4:13-16 NLT) Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable. So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.
• Beat up ourselves.

(2 Corinthians 7:10 NLT) For the kind of sorrow God wants us to experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation. There's no regret for that kind of sorrow. But worldly sorrow, which lacks repentance, results in spiritual death.
• Blame others.

(Romans 2:1-2 MSG) ...Every time you criticize someone, you condemn yourself. It takes one to know one. Judgmental criticism of others is a well-known way of escaping detection in your own crimes and misdemeanors. But God isn’t so easily diverted. He sees right through all ...
(Isaiah 1:20 NLT) But if you turn away and refuse to listen, you will be devoured by the sword of your enemies I, the LORD, have spoken!" -->meaning the devil will use it to eat you up!

(2 Corinthians 5:16-17 NLT) So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now! This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!
(Psalm 16:7 NKJV) I will bless the LORD who has given me counsel; My heart also instructs me in the night seasons.

(1 Kings 19:11-12 NKJV) Then He said, "Go out, and stand on the mountain before the LORD." And behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice.
• Believe God.

(Isaiah 1:18 NLT) "Come now, let's settle this," says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow
We need a Savior.

We can do nothing to save ourselves.

We need the Mercy - Grace - Love of Jesus
• We need more faith not forgiveness.

(Romans 4:20 NLT) Abraham never wavered in believing God's promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God.

(2 Corinthians 10:15 NIV) ... Our hope is that, as your faith continues to grow, our sphere of activity among you will greatly expand,
