Sermon Title: The Gift God Gave
When we take the time to truly stop and think of what all that truly means, JESUS our Immanuel, we hold tight to the truth that: You are not alone! I am not alone! We are not alone!
Because Jesus has come, we are never alone!
Deuteronomy 31:6, “So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the LORD your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.”
Deuteronomy 31:6, “So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the LORD your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.”
Isaiah 41:10, “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”
Psalm 23:4, “Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.”
Jesus shouted it!: Matthew 28:20, “Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Immanuel also points to God’s great love:
John 3:16, “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16, “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
Psalm 147:3, “He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds.”
1 Peter 5:7, “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you
Immanuel doesn’t simply mean God is around us—like a force or an atmosphere.
Immanuel means God is with us.
With us in our brokenness.
With us in our questions.
With us in our joy.
With us in our deepest need.
With us even when we feel most unworthy.
With us in our brokenness.
With us in our questions.
With us in our joy.
With us in our deepest need.
With us even when we feel most unworthy.
And because Jesus came to us, He can now live in us, walk with us, and lead us through anything.
