• Pray for believers suffering under Islamist kidnapping and death in Nigeria; safety and strength in persecution.

• Pray for mental and physical healing for those you know in that space.

• Express your thanks for the special touches of God on your life in this season.

• Pray for those who find this season difficult to draw near to Christ for His peace.

• Pray that this Christmas season will be focused on enjoying and celebrating Jesus.

• The "Christmas Jesus" became the crucified Jesus.

• Remember where you came from.

1. Describe some Christmas traditions that were important to you growing up.

2. Discuss how we can enjoy the decorations and still make the birth of Jesus central.

3. How can we make the spirit of Christmas last all year long?

4. What personal changes could we make to elevate our celebration this Christmas season?
