Parking

“Hey church family! As we head into the Christmas season and expect more guests, we want to make sure first-time visitors and families with small children can find parking easily. If you’re part of our regular congregation, would you help us by parking in the overflow lot? Your small sacrifice helps us make a big impact for new people walking through our doors. Thank you for helping us make room for others!”

Christmas
Part 2
December 07, 2025
Luke 1:26-27, English Standard Version
In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth,

to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. And the virgin’s name was Mary.
How do you follow God when He changes your plans?
Luke 1:28, ESV (emphasis added)
And he came to her and said, “Greetings, O favored one, the Lord is with you!”
1. Recognize God’s favor in your life.
Ephesians 1:6, New Living Translation (emphasis added)
“So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son.”
Luke 1:29, ESV
But she was greatly troubled at the saying, and tried to discern what sort of greeting this might be.
Luke 1:30, ESV
And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.
2. Don’t be afraid!
Philippians 4:6–7, NLT
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”
Luke 1:31, ESV
And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus.
3. God is coming to the rescue!
Luke 1:32-33, ESV
He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.”
Luke 1:34, ESV
And Mary said to the angel, “How will this be, since I am a virgin?”
4. It’s OK to ask God questions.
Proverbs 2:4–6, ESV (emphasis added)
“If you seek [wisdom] like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures, then you will understand . . . . For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding;”
Luke 1:35, ESV
And the angel answered her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore, the child to be born will be called holy—the Son of God.
5. You don’t have to go through this alone!
Luke 1:36-37, ESV
And behold, your relative Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son, and this is the sixth month with her who was called barren. For nothing will be impossible with God.”
Luke 1:38, ESV
And Mary said, “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.”
6. Respond with radical acceptance.
