Foundation text:
Introduction:
People spend time researching stocks, real estate, retirement funds, and savings plans. Everyone wants the best return on investment (ROI).

But Jesus taught that there is no better investment than in the Kingdom of God.
Do not lay up…but lay up may be rephrased as “Do not give priority to this, but give priority to that.”

Lay up - to amass or reserve.
Moth - eats away at your clothes.
Rust - eat away at your gold and silver.
Treasure - deposits, wealth.
B. How do you make withdrawals from your heavenly account?

1. Understand What a “Heavenly Account” Really Is.

Your heavenly account is not a physical bank account; it’s a spiritual record of your obedience, giving, and service before God.
a. It’s the sum of what you’ve done in faith and love toward God and others.

b. Your withdrawals come in the form of divine provision, favor, protection, answered prayer, and eternal reward.
Paul was saying: Your giving creates an account, and your needs are supplied from that heavenly resource center.

2. Biblical Ways to Make Withdrawals from Your Heavenly Account.

a. Withdraw Through Faith and Expectation.
*Faith is the key that unlocks heaven’s resources.

*Your giving or obedience is the seed; faith is how you receive the harvest.

*God responds not just to the gift given, but to the faith with which it was given and received.
Example:
What happened here?
*She obeyed the prophet’s instruction and borrowed the vessels and poured the oil into jars.

*Her faith activated the miracle that met her need, a withdrawal from heaven’s storehouse of provision.

*Faith makes your spiritual deposit become a natural manifestation.
b. Withdraw Through Prayer and Confession of God’s Word.

Prayer is like submitting a withdrawal request to the heavenly bank. You are asking according to God’s will and based on His promises.
*When you’ve sown, you have a right to go before God and expect a harvest.

*Your words matter. Confess the promises, not the problem.
Example: David lost everything.
*Your heavenly account releases when your mouth and acts of obedience agree with God’s Word.
c. Withdraw Through Obedience and Righteous Living.

Sometimes your harvest is waiting on a step of obedience. God releases what’s stored when you walk in alignment with His will.
Example: Peter partially obeyed Jesus’ instructions but still yielded a huge return.
* Obedience positions you for heavenly release.
* When you invest in His vision, He invests in your provision.
d. Withdraw Through Praise and Thanksgiving.

Praise and thanksgiving are spiritual withdrawal tools, they demonstrate your trust that God has already released your blessing.
Example:
Jehoshaphat’s army praised God before the battle. Their praise unlocked victory and abundance.
* Gratitude draws your harvest into manifestation.

e. Withdraw Through Generosity and Continued Sowing.
Kingdom giving is cyclical. Every seed produces a harvest, and every harvest becomes new seed.

* You don’t stop sowing once you’ve given; continual sowing keeps your account active and growing.

* The more you release, the more you can withdraw.
Example:
The widow of Zarephath gave her last meal to Elijah.
* Each act of giving opens another flow from your heavenly account.

f. Withdrawals from your heavenly account don’t always come as money.

They may also come as:

1. Divine favor.
2. Open doors and opportunities.
3. Divine protection.
4. Healing and restoration.
5. Joy and peace that money can’t buy.
6. A sudden good break.
7. Eternal rewards.
Conclusion:

When you give, serve, and obey God, you’ve made real deposits into your heavenly account. But your harvest doesn’t come automatically, it comes through faith, prayer, obedience, praise, and alignment with Kingdom purpose.
