Parent their Purpose
Proverbs 22:6 ESV - Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it
Romans 12:1-2 MSG So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.
1 Chronicles 22:5 NLT - David said, "My son Solomon is still young and inexperienced. And since the Temple to be built for the LORD must be a magnificent structure, famous and glorious throughout the world, I will begin making preparations for it now." So David collected vast amounts of building materials before his death.
Give the right definition of SUCCESS
1 Chronicles 22:11-13 NLT - "Now, my son, may the LORD be with you and give you success as you follow his directions in building the Temple of the LORD your God. And may the LORD give you wisdom and understanding, that you may obey the Law of the LORD your God as you rule over Israel. For you will be successful if you carefully obey the decrees and regulations that the LORD gave to Israel through Moses. Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid or lose heart!
Never let your significance come from something that can be taken away.
Children are our legacy, not our way to live vicariously.
Surround them with Godly Influence
1 Chronicles 22:17 NLT - Then David ordered all the leaders of Israel to assist Solomon in this project.
Set a Standard
Mark 12:30-31 NLT - "And you must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.' The second is equally important: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' No other commandment is greater than these."
Pray Daily
1.They are convicted of sin.
John 16:8 NLT - And when he(the Holy Spirit) comes, he will convict the world of its sin, and of God's righteousness, and of the coming judgment.
2.They choose God’s approval over man’s approval
Galatians 1:10 NLT - Obviously, I'm not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ's servant.

3.They understand the reward of faith in God.
Hebrews 11:6 NLT - And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.
4.They love God’s Word.
Joshua 1:8 NLT - Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.
Be Present
Deuteronomy 6:5-7 NLT - And you must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up.
