We live life out of balance.

Stress from every where: relationships-conflicts - marriage - not being married - deadlines - divorce - new job - hate my current job - illness - parenting - expectation of others - unresolved sin

(John 16:33 NLT) I have told you all this so that you may have peace in Me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world."


(Psalm 34:19 MSG) 'Disciples so often get into trouble; still, God is there every time. '

Christians have problems too.

You can't take the promises and ignore the principles.

(Psalm 62:5-8 NLT) Let all that I am wait quietly (rest) before God, for my hope is in him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken. My victory and honor come from God alone. He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me. O my people, trust in him at all times. Pour out your heart to him, for God is our refuge.

(Psalm 62:9-10 NIV) Surely the lowborn are but a breath, the highborn are but a lie. If weighed on a balance, they are nothing; together they are only a breath. Do not trust in extortion or put vain hope in stolen goods; though your richesincrease, do not set your heart on them.

• Time

You cannot do everything.

Our days are numbered,

Our lives are out of balance.

It is going to cost you something.

Money \ Treasure

(1 Timothy 6:6-10 NLT) Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth. After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world, and we can't take anything with us when we leave it. So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content. But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.

(Jeremiah 6:16 NLT) This is what the LORD says: "Stop at the crossroads and look around. Ask for the old, godly way, and walk in it. Travel its path, and you will find rest for your souls. But you reply, 'No, that's not the road we want!'

God's rest is not trouble free; its grace filled.

• Live with purpose and urgency.

Find Freedom - settle my yesterdays

Discover Purpose - Find out why am I on this planet

Make A Difference - live doing your created purpose

(Psalm 39:4-5 NLT) "LORD, remind me how brief my time on earth will be. Remind me that my days are numbered--how fleeting my life is. You have made my life no longer than the width of my hand. My entire lifetime is just a moment to you; at best, each of us is but a breath."

Is what I am doing contributing to my purpose?

(Matthew 13:44 NLT) "The Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure that a man discovered hidden in a field. In his excitement, he hid it again and sold everything he owned to get enough money to buy the field.

• Keep first things first.

(Psalm 90:12 TLB) Teach us to number our days and recognize how few they are; help us to spend them as we should.

(Matthew 6:33 NLT) Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.

• Keep my heart pointed to heaven and my hope in God.

(2 Corinthians 4:16-18 NLT) ...we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. For our present troubles are small and won't last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we don't look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.
