Come People of the Risen King

Come people of the Risen King
Who delight to bring Him praise
Come all and tune your hearts to sing
To the Morning Star of grace

From the shifting shadows of the earth
We will lift our eyes to Him
Where steady arms of mercy reach
To gather children in

Rejoice, rejoice
Let every tongue rejoice
One heart, one voice
O church of Christ rejoice

Come those whose joy is morning sun
And those weeping through the night
Come those who tell of battles won
And those struggling in the fight

For His perfect love will never change
And His mercies never cease
But follow us through all our days
With the certain hope of peace

Rejoice, rejoice
Let every tongue rejoice
One heart, one voice
O church of Christ rejoice

Come young and old from every land
Men and women of the faith
Come those with full or empty hands
Find the riches of His grace

Over all the world His people sing
Shore to shore we hear them call
The truth that cries through every age
Our God is all in all

Rejoice, rejoice
Let every tongue rejoice
One heart, one voice
O church of Christ rejoice

Rejoice, rejoice
Let every tongue rejoice
One heart, one voice
O church of Christ rejoice
Rejoice the Lord Is King

Rejoice the Lord is King
Your Lord and King adore
Rejoice give thanks and sing
And triumph evermore

Lift up your heart
Lift up your voice
Rejoice again I say rejoice

Jesus the Savior reigns
The God of truth and love
When He had purged our stains
He took His seat above

Lift up your heart
Lift up your voice
Rejoice again I say rejoice

Rejoice in glorious hope
Our Lord and Judge shall come
And take His servants up
To their eternal home

Lift up your heart
Lift up your voice
Rejoice again I say rejoice

Lift up your heart
Lift up your voice
Rejoice again I say rejoice
We Have Come to Worship Him

We have come to worship Him
To lift His name on high
He is worthy of our praise
So let us lift Him to the sky

We have come to worship Him
To lift His name on high
He is worthy of our praise
So let us lift Him to the sky

He is my Savior
He is the King of kings
He is the Mighty God
And of His awesome deeds we sing
And our highest praise
To Him we bring

We have come to worship Him
To lift His name on high
He is worthy of our praise
So let us lift Him to the sky

He is my Father
He is the Prince of Peace
He is the Risen Lord
And of His awesome deeds we sing
And our highest praise
To Him we bring

We have come to worship Him
To lift His name on high
He is worthy of our praise
So let us lift Him to the sky

We have come to worship Him
To lift His name on high
He is worthy of our praise
So let us lift Him to the sky

Simple Kingdom

Your kingdom is simple
As simple as love
You welcomed the children
You stopped for the one
We want to see people
The way Jesus does
Your kingdom is simple
Lord, teach it to us

Your kingdom is humble
As humble as death
Its King is a savior
Who gave His last breath
So may we die daily
Our pride laid to rest
Your kingdom is humble
And the broken are blessed

Hallelujah, hallowed be Your name
May we live and breathe Your praise
Hallelujah, let all creation say
Oh, the King of Heaven reigns

Your kingdom is coming
Your kingdom is here
Alive in our waiting
At work in our tears
So come to us quickly
Forever our prayer
Your kingdom is coming
Lord Jesus come near

Hallelujah, hallowed be Your name
May we live and breathe Your praise
Hallelujah, let all creation say
Oh, the King of Heaven reigns

Your kingdom is backwards
It flows in reverse
What You call a treasure
This world calls a curse
The small become great and
The last become first
Your kingdom is backwards
Lord, teach us to serve

As it is with Your kingdom
Let it be with Your Church

Hallelujah, hallowed be Your name
May we live and breathe Your praise
Hallelujah, let all creation say
Oh, the King of Heaven reigns
Oh, the King of Heaven reigns
Oh, the King of Heaven reigns
Loved by You

Like Jerusalem, Lord, You have wept over me
In my moments of weakness and loss
I had nothing to give, so You offered Your grace
And Your love and Your Son and a cross

I am loved by You
I am loved by You

Though I stumble and fall
In spite of it all
I am loved
I am loved by You

And what I could not bear, You took as Your own
All the slander that should have been mine
And by taking my place, my redemption is sealed
By Your will, by Your hand, by design

I am loved by You
I am loved by You

Though I stumble and fall
In spite of it all
I am loved
I am loved by You

And no power below, no power above
Can separate us from Your love
No power below, no power above
Can separate us from Your love

I am loved by You
(No power below, no power above)
I am loved by You
(Can separate us from Your love)

Though I stumble and fall
In spite of it all
I am loved
I am loved by You

Though I stumble and fall
In spite of it all
I am loved
I am loved by You

O Love that Will Not Let Me Go

O love that will not let me go
I rest my weary soul in Thee
I give Thee back the life I owe
That in Thine ocean depths its flow
May richer, fuller be

O light that followest all my way
I yield my flickering torch to Thee
My heart restores its borrowed ray
That in Thy sunshine's blaze it's day
May brighter, fairer be

O cross that liftest up my head
I dare not ask to hide from Thee
I lay in dust life's glory dead
And from the ground there blossoms red
Life that shall endless be

Join us at 6 p.m. for dinner and connection, then stay for a combined adult Bible class in the Fellowship Room at 7 p.m. Each evening will include singing together, practicing a spiritual discipline, and diving into the book of Psalms.

Teachers this fall include Travis Holland, Jim Martin, Bruce Utley, and Jim Crain, with special guest appearances from Al Campbell. Don’t miss this opportunity to refresh your week and grow in faith with your church family!

Classes for Children and Youth will continue their usual schedules.

ENGAGE Contemporary Praise

Join us for a powerful evening of worship and testimony Sunday, November 9, at 5 p.m. in the Upper Room. We’ll be led by special guest Danny Burgess, who leads worship every Sunday at the Hunt Pavilion in Hunt, Texas. Danny will share his story of faith through tragedy and hope, including his experiences during the Hill Country flood, his ministry to grieving families, and his ongoing journey with stage four cancer. Come ready to worship, receive, and reflect on God’s presence in life’s hardest moments.

SA Hope Thanksgiving Baskets

Due by November 22
Help us provide families with a Thanksgiving meal! SA Hope Center partners with churches and businesses to provide Thanksgiving baskets to families that come through their program. The baskets are filled with food that will feed 4–6 people, allowing them the opportunity to cook and enjoy a meal with their family and friends on Thanksgiving.

Northside has committed to providing 50 baskets to families currently enrolled with SA Hope. We’re doing the same for ten families through our partnership with Care Portal. Not only will our Northside family provide the baskets and fill them with food, but the baskets will be delivered to the families personally! This is a beautiful opportunity to stretch ourselves and LOVE FIRST by providing food, a warm interaction, encouraging cards, and a time of prayer, blessing the family before leaving.

Sign-ups will open on November 2. When you sign up for a basket, you will claim a family and use the provided gift card to prepare a basket filled with the listed food items, create an encouraging card, and then deliver the completed basket to the receiving family. Baskets should be delivered on November 22.

Hymn of Heaven

(Women unison)
How I long to breathe the air of Heaven
Where pain is gone and mercy fills the streets
To look upon the one who bled to save me
And walk with Him for all eternity

(Soprano, Alto, Tenor)
There will be a day
When all will bow before Him
There will be a day
When death will be no more
Standing face to face
With He who died and rose again
Holy, holy is the Lord

(All parts)
Every prayer we prayed in desperation
The songs of faith
We sang through doubt and fear
In the end we’ll see that it was worth it
When He returns to wipe away our tears

There will be a day
When all will bow before Him
There will be a day
When death will be no more
Standing face to face
With He who died and rose again
Holy, holy is the Lord

On that day we join the resurrection
And stand beside the heroes of the faith
With one voice a thousand generations
Sing worthy is the Lamb who was slain
Forever He shall reign

So let it be today
We shout the hymn of Heaven
With angels and the Saints
We raise a mighty roar
Glory to our God
Who gave us life beyond the grave
Holy, holy is the Lord

So let it be today
We shout the hymn of Heaven
With angels and the Saints
We raise a mighty roar
Glory to our God
Who gave us life beyond the grave
Holy, holy is the Lord
Holy, holy is the Lord
Holy, holy is the Lord
