NEW TO REAL LIFE?
Thanks for stopping by our YouVersion! If you're searching for a church home, we're the place for you. We would love for you to plan your visit in-person with us. Whether you've never been to church before, or grew up attending church weekly, plan your experience to join us this weekend!
https://reallifechurchkc.com/planyourvisitSeries Description:
We begin what we truly believe will be the most important series we have ever done in the life of our church—Difference Maker. This 6-week journey is about building a movement of God—it’s about Your Faith. Our Generosity. Their Forever.
For eight years, God has written a story at Real Life that only He could write—thousands of lives changed, over 177 baptisms, prodigals coming home. But we are convinced the next chapter will be even greater. Through this series, we will step into that future together, united in faith and generosity, believing God to do immeasurably more in our city and beyond.
That’s why we’re asking you to make every effort to be here for all six weeks. Don’t miss one moment of what God wants to do. This is a defining season for our church family—and your presence matters.
Let’s step forward together as Difference Makers.

Message Description:
At Real Life, we believe the greatest stories aren’t written in concrete or steel—they’re written in changed lives.
Every Sunday, people said “yes” to Jesus, and it all starts with one thing: someone cared enough to invite them. That’s what this week’s message is all about — how ordinary people withsimple acts of faith can make an eternal difference.
From the boy who gave his lunch,
to Andrew who invited his brother Peter,
to a mother who placed her baby in a basket—
God has always used everyday people who simply said “yes.”
In this message, Pastor Sean will share stories from Scripture and from Real Life—like Lucas’ story—that remind us how every handshake, every conversation, every invitation, every act of generosity matters more than we realize.
The story of Real Life Church isn’t built on bricks or beams—it’s built on people. Because people make the difference.

Fasting: It’s the posture that precedes God’s power.
FASTING CHANGES THE OUTCOME FOR OTHERS!!!
Everyday Difference Makers are ordinary people whose small acts of faith made an eternal difference
EVERYDAY DIFFERENCE MAKERS LEAVE AN ETERNAL LEGACY.
THE STRENGTH OF A CHURCH NOT IN THE BUILDING BUT THE PEOPLE IN IT.
TALK IT OVER
1. Celebrate the Stories
Real Life saw five people give their lives to Jesus last week!
- How does hearing stories of changed lives—like Lucas’—inspire your own faith?
- Who has been a “difference maker” in your life, and how did they impact your walk with Jesus?
2. Positioned on Purpose
Esther was placed in her royal position “for such a time as this.”
- Where do you sense God has strategically placed you—in your family, job, or neighborhood—to make a difference?
- What holds you back from believing God can use you right where you are?
3. Ordinary People, Extraordinary Faith
Pastor Sean reminded us that the Bible isn’t filled with superheroes, but with everyday broken people who trusted God.
- Why do you think God delights in using ordinary people to accomplish His purposes?
- What reasons do you sometimes make for why God “can’t use me”?
4. The Power of Invitation
Andrew invited his brother Peter to meet Jesus. A simple invitation changed eternity.
- Who in your life could experience life-change if you extended an invitation to church or shared your story?
- What would it take for you to invite them this week?
5. Living Generously
The Macedonian church gave out of poverty and sparked a movement of generosity.
- What does it mean to give by faith, not by comfort?
- How could generosity—of your resources, encouragement, or time—make a difference for someone else’s forever?
6. Faith That Steps Forward
Esther risked her life to stand before the king and saw God’s favor bring deliverance.
- Where is God calling you to step out in bold faith—even if it feels uncomfortable or risky?
- What might happen if you trusted God fully with that step?
7. Leaving a Legacy
Psalm 78:4 says we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord.
- What kind of spiritual legacy do you want to leave behind?
- Who is watching your faith right now and learning from how you follow Jesus?
