MANKIND HAS ALWAYS BEEN GIVEN FREEDOM TO CHOOSE.
WE JUST DON’T SEEM TO UNDERSTAND THE COST.
All that God had created was good…
“Then God looked over all He had made, and He saw that it was very good!”
Genesis 1:31a

"Then the Lord God said, ‘It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.’”
Genesis 2:18

“Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib, and He brought her to the man.”
Genesis 2:22

“But the Lord God warned him, ‘You may freely eat the fruit of every tree in the garden— except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If you eat its fruit, you are sure to die.’”
Genesis 2:16

“Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, ‘Did God really say, “You must not eat from any tree in the garden”?’”
Genesis 3:1

“‘You will not certainly die,’ the serpent said to the woman. ‘For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.’”
Genesis 3:4-5

“So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate, and she also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate.”
Genesis 3:6

“She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.”
Genesis 3:6b
Temptation is not sin, and it is also not an excuse.
“Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted there by the devil.”
Matthew 4:1

“This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for He faced all of the same testings we do, yet He did not sin.”
Hebrews 4:15

“And remember, when you are being tempted, do not say, ‘God is tempting me.’ God is never tempted to do wrong, and He never tempts anyone else. Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away.”
James 1:13-14

"The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, He will show you a way out so that you can endure.”
1 Corinthians 10:13
Temptation comes different ways.
“Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world.”
1 John 2:15-16

“…a craving for physical pleasure…”
“…a craving for everything we see…”
“…pride in our achievements and possessions.”
We can resist evil.
“Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you.”
1 Peter 4:12

“And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Ephesians 5:20

“Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good.
Romans 12:9

“And don’t let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one.”
Matthew 6:13

“Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them.”
Ephesians 5:11

“Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good.”
Romans 12:21

“So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
James 4:7
WHEN TEMPTATION COMES, DON’T LET IT DESTROY WHAT GOD HAS CREATED.

“Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.”
Ephesians 6:11

“By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence.”
2 Peter 1:3

“Brothers, listen! We are here to proclaim that through this man Jesus there is forgiveness for your sins. Everyone who believes in Him is made right in God’s sight—something the law of Moses could never do.”
Acts 13:38-39

“So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don’t get tied up again in slavery to the law.”
Galatians 5:1

“For you are free, yet you are God’s slaves, so don’t use your freedom as an excuse to do evil.”
1 Peter 2:16
